What's Caroline's REAL reason for withdrawing? [Vanity, but a necessary one]

OK, armchair detectives, let's put our collective minds together. Princess Caroline is out, but why?

Obviously, the "excuse" of caring for her Uncle Teddy has more holes in it than a barrel of Swiss cheese, even a 5-year-old can see that.

Did Gov. David Patterson's 28-page disclosure document, which he required of all applicants, have something to do with it? It would have forced CK to reveal all sorts of details that she has tried to keep private for years. So - is she hiding something?

I have the method to accomplish that in one fell swoop. Declare that all lawyers have an inherent conflict of interest and ban them from serving in the legislative branch of government.

You would instantly nullify 95% of current politicians, and open the doors wide to carpenters, doctors, physicists, business executives, etc.

The tricky part is getting a majority of lawyers to vote themselves out of office, but maybe if we just offer them a bunch of money...

I to catch “Hardball.” One reporter mentioned the real reason Caroline dropped out might be an affair - apparently the story is on lots of the blogs. Chris cut her off and said he did not want this mentioned.

I’m not really sure why we need armchair detectives or the pajama patrols on this one ... FoxNews has been reporting all afternoon that Caroline had major issues with tax problems, nanny problems and possible problems with her ‘marriage’.

Quite a while back I read her husband. although an old guy, was running around - I don’t recall if it was a credible source.

The rumor is that Caroline was involved with Arthur "Pinch" Sulzberger, publisher of the New York Times, or if not with him, then with someone else, and she didn't want the relationship to be made public. But it may be tax and nanny issues. Or just that she sensed her "campaign" wasn't going anywhere. More here.

The affair and "sham marriage" theories are interesting. It would be poetic justice if Caroline had "Daddy issues" -- I mean, after the Kennedy's saddled the whole country with this mammoth JFK dead father image, it would only be fitting that Caroline shared the burden.

I understand your seriousness in this issue, but it’s like saying that you suspect Hitler is a hatefilled antisimete just as he wields power.
