President-elect Barack Obama says there can't be any "idle hands" at a time when so many people are enduring hardships.

During a visit to an emergency homeless shelter for teens in the nation's capital, Obama said that given the "crisis" the nation is facing, "everybody's going to have to pitch in." And he said Americans are "ready to do that."

Notice it says “will not”, not “can not”.

We’re all for helping out people who CAN NOT work,
but those who WILL NOT work should feel the natural consequences of their sloth.

“Abolish the Fed Income Tax, or at the very least go to a flat tax of 10 % and I’ll think about “pitching in”.. picking up trash or whatever.”

Same here, but I sure as hell won’t go to a hellhole like DC. I’ll pick up the occasional piece of litter in my neighborhood, though. Oh, wait — I already do that. It’s called pride in home and neighborhood... something sorely lacking in “da hood.”

“He’s right. There won’t be any idle hands. My hands will produce tax dollars and his supporter’s hands will take them.”

No effing kidding.
Where the hell does he think all the money for his mad spending will come from!

Oh wait, were going to print trillions more.

I guess our money won’t be worth as much.

Everyone has to ‘pitch in”? To do what? Suffer through all the “false starts and failures” he says he’s going to cause?

Failures doing what? False starts where? sounds to me like he’s already making excuses because he knows he hasn’t a clue what he’s doing.
But that’s ok it seems, all he gets is cheers from crowds of blacks and worship from the media, who should be asking these questions instead of licking the ground he walks on.

If you want to be a commie dictator then go to Russia and apply for the job along side of good ol’ Vlad Putin and leave our preciuos Constitution alone!

And by the way, take Reid, Pelosi, and all of their ilk with you.

Sorry folks, but I had to vent.

I had to cover an MLK event for the newspaper today. Everybody was wearing an Obama shirt or and talking about how change is coming etc...

Rather bothersome how they really believe this man is going to save them. He is almost their savior!

“If you’re at all familiar with “Atlas Shrugged,” this sounds more and more like “Directive 10-289,” from that book.”

Alot of things are starting to look like that book.

I’ve been pitching in for 65 years including helping along the way. Tell your “welfare folks” that it’s their turn to work!

The local MLK speaker here, gave a Black Liberation speech on socialism and redistribution of wealth, sprinkled with the usual Bible verses from the apostle Paul.

“Rather bothersome how they really believe this man is going to save them. He is almost their savior!”

Actually, this is kind of a blessing in disguise — the expectations are raised so high for 0 that when he fails... and he will... there are going to be a lot of disappointed 0-bots.

I've been looking for a new series to read. I've read and re-read the late Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series so much that they're dog-eared.

If you enjoy this genre, you will love Sword of Truth (first book is "Wizard's First Rule"). The political subtext doesn't start to develop until about half-way into the series, but the whole thing is well worth reading, in order.

BTW, this series has actually been syndicated as a weekly TV show. The show is called "Legend of the Seeker" and is very loosely based on the first book. The plot deviates from the book dramatically, but it's still a watchable show in this age of mindless "reality show" drivel.

Pitch-in means if you are already productive we are going to take more from you and give it someone who isn’t. I really and truly don’t mind helping those in need, but I resent being forced to give the fruits of my labor to a bunch of leeches.

Let’s see, I pay high taxes that amount to virtual slavery or serfdom and he expects me to do community service? I think not.

BTW zero, when can I expect the family of freeloaders who live off of my hard labor to come over and start cleaning our house, mowing our lawn, weeding the flower beds? There are a lot of things that we don’t keep up with as well as we would like, because we go to work everyday.

I pitched in with our Nation’s military for 28 years. Where the hell were you, Barack?

In Figi with Ayers writing his book meant to create his faux past; working with ACORN, hanging out with his pinko pals, drinking lattes and getting groomed to accomplish a coup d'etat
