(Washington, D.C. - 1/3/09) Democrats across the board, including progressives on the far left, who are ardent supporters of Caroline Kennedy, are growing impatient with Republicans and others who are concerned about her apparent lack of qualifications for a likely U.S. Senatorial appointment.
In a specious statement from the DNC, tolerance and understanding of this appointment are required:
We firmly believe Caroline You Know Kennedy is the absolutely best choice that could be made for the people of New York, the U.S. Senate and for the people of America. All of America should now be pleased there is a voice for the oratorically-impaired which otherwise would go missing. This is an important part of the Change coming to America and we demand acceptance of this historic appointment.
We only wish our friends on the right would practice what they preach and be as tolerant of Caroline as we on the left have been of Republican female appointments and nominees to all levels office. Were tired of our nominees/appointees having to put up with overt naysayers, undeserved criticism and unfounded rumors while we treat theirs with dignity, respect and a tolerance for opposing views. We demand equal treatment.
Developing..
Republicans urge democrats to stop being self-serving hypocrits.
We demand equal treatment.
Exactly!!! Elitists
Neo-Communists
The media would carry water for Mrs. Schlossberg equally well as they did for Hillary Rodham.
And the voters of NY State would buy the nonsense of a “listening tour” just like last time.
As I recall, that “listening” involved planted questions for Shrillary to give her preplanned answers. And she was going to save the economy of upstate New York and create jobs.
And we saw the results: zero.
It’ll be the same all over again and again....
that has to be a joke..
I would be DELIGHTED to give them equal treatment! LOL
May I kindly correct you? Caroline Kennedy, you know, is, you know, significantly less qualified, you know, than Sarah Palin. You know, you know.
it is. Look at the site it was taken from. I love Liberal Lunacy. It is satire that is close enough to the truth you have to look twice!
all true...this turd needs to be watched like a hawk and we patriots need to do whatever is necessary to remove ourselves from his ‘Marxist American Dream’. The Declaration of Independence should be our template.
My hubby is hoping that Caroline will get the nod so that NY can take over the position of having the dumbest Senator in the Senate from PA. I keep telling him that it’s no contest, PA still wins hands down with “Booby” Casey and that neither he nor Caroline Kennedy would be anywhere near the Senate were it not for their last names.
Sorry, I’m not from New Yawk, I’m not used to insoiting “Ya know” as every udder woid.
Dignity?Respect?Where?When?WTF!
All we are saying is give sleaze a chance.
As much as I did not want Rudy as President due to certain leftist leanings..I would certainly vote for him over any Kennedy you can name or any Cuomo for that matter....he is considered a radical conservative to a majority of NY voters....though he has a better chance than one might think. He is liked around here.
” Were tired of our nominees/appointees having to put up with overt naysayers, undeserved criticism and unfounded rumors while we treat theirs with dignity, respect and a tolerance for opposing views. “
You all don’t know how angry that statement makes me.
calm down..it’s satire based on the “specious” point of view that it COULD be true..
My FRiend, those of us who lived in NYC at the time recall the hordes of thugs who disappeared like magic from corners as you would walk by throughout the city.
So you don’t agree with the guy on every issue and at times he’s a fathead, but you needed someone like that to go up against the NYC liberal establishment along with standing up to the mob.
It was harder for Rudy to face down the teacher’s union than the mob.
As for President, I’d take him over Obama in a heartbeat ANY day.
Being for Fred before, I have no qualms in saying so. After Jan. 20, you and many others here will see the light too. And rue the day we allowed such a person to take the Oval Office.
Not for his color, but for his politics.
