The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Think about Fukino's words:
"original birth certificate on record" (they don't have "birth certificates" in Hawaii - they DO have a Certification and Certificate of Live Birth, though...)
in accordance with state policies and procedures (to record a birth ON Hawaii, OR a foreign birth registered in Hawaii)
There have been several discussions regarding Hawaiian birth certificates. Those born on foreign soil, but residing in Hawaii, that did not have a birth certificate were allowed to register their births in Hawaii at the time Obama was born in 1961.
The Hawaiian officials have only said that they have the birth certificate, but they have not stated that he was actually born in Hawaii. They cannot publically divulge where he was born or any other information contained on that record by law.
And someone could come up with any number of reasons she would have said that. Maybe she wanted him to be truly african. Maybe there was some sort of pride issue, maybe a cow to inherit, I don’t know. Heck Obama I had so many wives and kids maybe she confused him. Point is, we can look at this any way we want.
Sorry, I just don’t think the facts add up. The birth certificate that was released seems to pass muster to me. I appreciate that you want to believe otherwise. Go for it. Maybe you’ll (the collective you, not personal) come up with something big.
Maybe she said it because it was true and he was born in Kenya. Meanwhile, his other grandmother, his typically white one, was preparing the birth announcement for the Hawaiian papers.

Obama's long form Certificate of Live Birth will confirm in a nanosecond whether he was born in Hawaii, or not. That is, if we ever get to see it.

No, because there are ways to get a Hawaiian birth certificate without being born in Hawaii. Also, birth certificates can be amended, and generally are upon adoption. So, Barry's BC might show he was born in Kenya, but was adopted (By his stepfather). He might have even later been adopted by his grandparents, perhaps with a name change, and he could have had the name changed *back* to BHO later. Not saying that all of those happened, but all are possible.
