Constitutional crisis looming over Obama's birth location
World Net Daily ^ | 11/14/08 | Bob Unruh

The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.

The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

He’s the President-elect of the United States, for crying out loud! He should be able to get his in about two minutes. He’s got the entire government at his disposal. What’s the problem here??

Absolutely true.........but it may open a whole can of worms, hmmmm!!!

First, sue every official who can not testify that they saw a COB and then certified the election anyway. That action alone constitutes fraud.

......and treason. They're deliberately handing the country over to a foreign leader.

Wow, more than half the states Obama won.

That's how Odinga, Obomas cousin, stole his presidency. Genocide broke out all over the place when Odinga lost the election. The people wanted to stop the killing so they gave the election to Odinga anyway.

Oboma worked as his campaign manager ( here on his government computer and with occasional personal visits)

One minor difference is OUR military vs. Kenya's, so just let them lose, gun sales in Florida is at its peak!!!

Birth certificates if I recall can be requested if pay some fee. They are not sealed.

Well sort of. Some are literally sealed, and even the person themselves can only get a copy of the "replacement" certificate. Generally in adoption cases, the down side of which is that the person cannot found out their biological family medical history. (All in the name of "protecting the children", even once those children become adults).

But in most cases only the person themselves, or a descendant or other close relative, can get a copy, even of the abbreviated "certification of live birth". That is the case in Hawaii, ostensibly/originally to prevent identity theft, now supposedly to protect "privacy". But none of those justifications apply in this case, but the law/regulations, still apply.

It wasn't always so of course. Not too long ago, birth records were considered "public records", and anyone could at least look at them, if not get a copy. Not too long before that, they were private records, kept in the family bible or at the family church. Ask any genealogist.

What is it Hannity says? “Let not your heart be troubled?” We are doing something about it. There has been quite a bit of work done by individuals who have tirelessly emailed and called to get someone to pay attention to this. So now we have what...17 different suits filed? There has been no precedent for this and it is not surprising that it’s hard to know how to roll the ball on this one. But, the ball is rolling and has been for some time. You see, I’m not into conspiracy theories particularly. But, I am into protecting our Constitution. I am into believing that the POTUS should be at least as thoroughly vetted as the employees that I recruit. I am into believing that being a citizen of the United States commands some responsibility on my part to address issues that I think can set dangerous precedents for our country in the future. So, the job has been to find like minded persons in position of “standing” who can roll these cases out until one takes. If and when 0bama is properly vetted and proven to be eligible, then I will turn my attention to repairing the GOP and paying very close attention to a brand new set of up and coming conservatives and knowing that the Constitution will continue to be there for my grandchildren when it is their turn to run this country. :)

If no person gets 270 (the majority) of the EVs, the House votes for the next President, and the Senate votes for the VP. You can bet they'll both be Dhimmicrats.

The votes for VP and President are separate, even though the same elector would normally be voting for both sides of the ticket. So Biden will be VP, almost regardless of anything, (unless he's found to be ineligble too). But the House must select from the qualified candidates who got electoral votes. That would leave McCain as President by default. Now if it comes out before the electors vote, they would be free to vote for whomever they wanted, or more likely for whomever the DNC puts forth. And that would indeed be a Dhim.

...SCOTUS will not want to “overturn the will of the people” to select their own president.

They do that all the time, overthrow the will of the people, that is. In some sense, it's their job, when that "will", generally as expressed through Congress and the President, conflicts with the requirements in the Constitution.

You are wrong. Disregarding the Constitution will cause the collapse of rule by law. If the president doesn't follow the Constitution none of us do either.

This is very serious and might well trigger a revolution or massive civil unrest. The financial markets might not survive.

subsitute her for what? Biden? they can’t just name a fresh president elect.

IN some states, they can. The electors must vote for President, and Vice President (separately!). Some states require them to vote for the person they were elected to vote for. But most do not, and there are a few "rogue" electors most every election. Nothing would stop those from states where it is allowed to all vote for Her Thighness instead of The One.

“Just where on Pennsylvania is there a federal government office or even a cubicle entitled “The President-Elect”?”

Well, you figure that it would be used, AT MOST, for 10 weeks every four years (and that is supposing that a new President from an alternating party is elected every four years.)

In the past fifty years,we have only had to have an “Office of the President-Elect” seven times. That totals less than 21 months, less than two years.

It wouldn’t really make sense to have an actual “Office” standing, whether in actual office space or just in staff and reference.

I wonder what the other seven President-Elects did during that 3-month period between the election and the inauguration? Bush in 2000? Clinton in ‘92? Reagan in ‘80?

In my opinion, the radical left just pushed him out of the way this election. Maybe they're too far to the left for even him. I know that sounds almost impossible, but anyone who cares about this country - just a little bit - would feel pretty uncomfortable about what just happened. Maybe he wants no part of it. Maybe he still has a touch of humanity left in him.

Unfortunately, it seems that an unwritten Constitutional principle has come into being that mere mortals do not have ‘standing’ to challenge the divine origin of the 0bamessiah.
