The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

I don’ t know the facts about the address on the announcement, other than I have been told here that it is not his grandparents’. As we have seen with other circumstances surrounding this, there could be several explanations. I’m not sure whether it is a salient point or not at this point.
It doesn’t make sense that they would want to hide his Kenyan birth, since his parents’ relationship was no secret. It just doesn’t pass the smell test for me. Also, if he was born in Kenya, it seems to be that it takes the question of parentage off the table. Obama sr. doesn’t seem like such a great catch (he was a drunk) that one would go out of the way to ensnare him or fake his role in your child’s life.
I am sorry if my disagreeing with you is somehow an affront. I do not intend it to be. I enjoy an intellectual debate, and I think this is a fascinating topic.

So many people telling us what they saw or heard, but still no one including BO is showing us anything.
Read my post about the serial number. I said show us the document....you know “WE THE PEOPLE”.
I don’t take the “someone saw” as a reason for this all to go away.
How about this: I saw and am verifying a document which says I own the Golden Gate Bridge.
I am not going to show you it, but you should just take my word for it.
Oh, and by the way, my sister will back me up on this, as she has seen it too.

Of course not. But unless his grandparents were thinking in terms of his presidential eligibility in 1961, it makes no sense for them to lie about his place of birth in a newspaper announcement.
When he attended school in Indonesia he did attend two different schools and was registered as “Barry Soetoro” with religion listed as “Islam” Indonesia at the time was a police state and foreigners could not attend schools there at the time!
I thought the scans at factcheck were pretty good. I understand some here deny that site, but I do consider what they say with some weight.
His grandparents, especially the white typical ones, may have just wanted their grandson to be a US citizen with all the benefits inherent.

You got that right, but you are circling around the real issue that we are pointing out. What is wrong to show your real "vault" long form birth CERTIFICATE, not the Certification???
But the point is, he could have become a citizen the legal way with out any obfuscation. They didn’t need to put a fraudulent announcement in the paper. They could have gotten him naturalized as soon as possible and he would have all the benefits of a citizen.
