Revising and extending my remarks:
We're receiving lots of complaints lately from freshly banned liberals, trolls and malcontents. Well, Free Republic has not changed and will not change. We are NOT "fair and balanced." Never will be.
We are biased toward God, country, Life and Liberty. Marriage, family and traditional values. Constitution, inalienable rights, private property and limited government. Small government, small spending, small taxes. National security, national sovereignty, strong defense and secure borders. Individual rights, individual responsibility and self-government. Privacy, individual and family security, self-defense and right to keep and bear arms. Rights to freely exercise our religion, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of dissent and freedom to resist government intervention, intrusion, tyranny or abuse. Right to constitutional government and constitutionalist/originalist judges, not liberal activists.
Free Republic is not a government project, not an IRS non-profit organization and not a charity. Free Republic is private property and we reserve the right to control content, association, political direction and access. No "fairness doctrine" applies.
We are a loosely associated group of independent CONSERVATIVE grassroots activists working together to expose government corruption, abuse, tyranny, unconstitutional expansion, or trampling on our rights, freedoms or liberty and it is our express intention to freely do this unimpeded and unrestricted by government or liberal intruders. DO NOT TREAD ON US!
If you sign up here to spread your godless, obnoxious, repugnant liberal/socialist/Marxist, abortionist/homosexualist, defeatist/anti-America propaganda your account will be summarily terminated. Do not write asking why. Your whining pleas or insults will be ignored.
Free Republic supports our troops and the war against Islamic extremism. Exactly. Why should “liberals” (socialists, really) get equal time with conservatives? They stand for the exact opposite of the country’s founding principles. It’s like giving half of the airwaves in Israel over to Palestinian propaganda.
It drives me crazy. They don’t represent half of the population and their dogma is profoundly flawed. Other philosophies could equally claim a share of time: libertarian, constitution party, etc.

The Great Sedition Trial II?
The Great Sedition Trial I (1944) was a trial when "political dissidents and 'crackpots' (the phrase used by the prosecution) were rounded up and accused of [sedition]."
Certain criticism of the Commander in Chief can do that, ya know.
By bringing the "crackpots" (pre-Internet Freepers?) to trial the "government attempted to 'educate' the public on the evils" of dissent. Back then dissent was criticism of communist, Stalinist Soviet Union, an ally at the time. That was one of the "crimes" charged.
Perhaps the "evil" of divisiveness will do just fine this time. All our identities must be revealed -- and let the show (trial) begin!
In the era of pre-activist judges the case was thrown out but not without casualties.
What is this? Isn’t there supposed to be a new tone? Aren’t we supposed to roll over and be nice to those who have systematically been destroying our country and our liberty? Isn’t the crack cocaine using, community organizing, ACORN training, military hating, gun grabbing, Muslim professing, socialist loving, wealth spreading, Israel abandoning, money confiscating, America damning, ballot stuffing, whitey disdaining, fake birth certificate creating messiah reaching his hand out to us?

The periodic purges are a good thing, and welcome by those Freepers who are genuinely conservative.
Liberals, socialists and out and out commies seem to be attracted to this site with the intent of gathering information and annoying people who genuinely love the concept of a Republic.

Scary at how fast things are a changing.
For years we were bought off with bailouts, rebates and insane promises and we turned away from God in droves and now I am afraid we are about to reap the excesses we sowed for so many years.
Thanks for that Jim. Makes me feel a lot better to see that I am not alone.
