Carl Cameron just said McCain campaign shocked to discover Sarah Palin did not realize Africa was a continent, believing instead that it was a country. She did not know the countries in NAFTA. She refused offered preparation for the Couric interview and threw temper tantrums over adverse press.
Wow. Dumping on Sarah in a big way. Shep asked how on Earth the McCain camp could have ended up picking such a dope (not exact words, but sense of what he said).
They did point out she seemed to help the polling numbers.
I knew this was going to be the template, but I was surprised at the level of nastiness on Fox News. Looks like elements of the McCain campaign is determined to make her the scapegoat for the loss. (Couldn't have been anything about the man at the top of the ticket.)

Watching O’Reilly’s coverage of this. Why are they trying to smear her? It’s bad enough the press crucified her during the campaign, and now that the election is over it’s still going on. Leave the woman alone.

WOW! Just listened to Carl tell BOR the scoop like it was 100% true and BOR didn’t even question it.
Said Palin cracked last week or some $hit and would be so mean and nasty that it made the staff cry.
Said she was sort of a shop aholic buying more clothes then she needed.
Came out of the shower with only a bathrobe.
I don’t know if this is true or not but this is just sick! The election is over, move on..... I’m sick now!
There was a post on NRO about how Sarah threatens the Beltway/New York axis. They are terrified of her, because she is a conservative by experience, not by hobby. She is Joe the Plumber and all of us!

Okay - now I’m really suspicious about this whole thing. Carl just said, when listing things Sarah Palin didn’t know, that she wasn’t aware of the way state governments were set up - for cryin’ out loud, she started in small local offices, to mayor to governor - yet we’re supposed to believe she doesn’t know about state governments. And she did a big oil deal with Canada but yet she doesn’t know the countries in NAFTA, three lousy countries and she doesn’t know that , puh-leez!

Looks like Carl has a case of ‘venus envy’.
They are smearing her BECAUSE she is smart and connects with people that they don’t: REAL AMERICANS
It is obvious to everyone that she is going to continue to be a power in the coming conservative movement and they are trying to take her down now. Preemptive control of a candidate by talking heads and beltway insiders who truly, deeply resent her AND her Christian views.

I definitely cannot believe this is true. It appears the campaign is in CYA mode because they threw Sarah Palin to the wolves who then edited every word she said. I blame the campaign.
The FOX team, with a couple of exceptions, are gossiping fools, and I hope they’ll pay in loss of viewership due to what they’re doing to Gov. Palin. They’ve lost the 3 of us in this house.

Also, I'd say that Gov. Palin had the best debate performance of the 4. She also drew the largest TV audiences of the 4. She inspired a lot of conservatives who would not have otherwise voted.
The long knives are out. I suspect that if Sarah decides to be a player they will find themselves tossed out along with all that Ann Coulter listed. We need a thorough cleansing, and if Sarahcuda will do it, I say let her have at it!
