Carl Cameron just said McCain campaign shocked to discover Sarah Palin did not realize Africa was a continent, believing instead that it was a country. She did not know the countries in NAFTA. She refused offered preparation for the Couric interview and threw temper tantrums over adverse press.
Wow. Dumping on Sarah in a big way. Shep asked how on Earth the McCain camp could have ended up picking such a dope (not exact words, but sense of what he said).
They did point out she seemed to help the polling numbers.
I knew this was going to be the template, but I was surprised at the level of nastiness on Fox News. Looks like elements of the McCain campaign is determined to make her the scapegoat for the loss. (Couldn't have been anything about the man at the top of the ticket.)

Ain't that the truth. Conservatives often want to laugh off all forms of discrimination, but sexism is alive and well. And of course it is rampant on the left. My sister was talking to a guy who called Sarah a "stupid b*****" but that he would "F**** her because she was hot." My sister asked him how he could say she was stupid, after she was a popular governor of a state, and he was a loser drunk who had been sitting in a bar all afternoon. But that's how the left treats successful women. Women who don't play by their rules.

Let’s talk about things that matter Shep/FOX! Like the fact that BO says he didn’t know his friend was a terrorist, or that his pastor was a racist, or that his wife hates America.
Not to mention the fact that he doesn’t want to offend other countries by placing his hand over his heart during the POA or the National Anthem.
And what about the fact that BO campaigned for a man that encouraged his followers to engage in genocide because he wasn’t happy about his election results.
Never mind, I can certainly see how calling Africa a country instead of a continent should be a concern to us all, not to mention what Gov. Palin wears. So let’s not bother with mundane things such as BO’s marxist plans for this country.
How about engaging in some factual news coverage and not inane gossip!
FOX will continue this stuff as long as the viewer puts up with it. I’m outraged and no longer will watch!

If you try doing a google search for the phrase "think Africa is a country" OR "believe Africa is a country" and you will get HUNDREDS of hits -- but none of the hits (yet) mention Sarah Palin.
It's a canard used by elitists and America-haters to try to show that Americans in general are moronic.
