You can choose to believe me or not...I can only pass on what I'm hearing
But I have a VERY close source working inside the PA Republican Party and just talked to this person a few minutes ago...
McCain is winning BIG in Western and Central PA. It seems coal country is pissed at 0's comments over the weekend...
No data on the East
Of course, it's only 1:30 and things can change...
So keep voting Freepers and PUMAs. Keep encouraging your neighbors and family to GOTV!!!!
If some anonymous guy on the internet thinks I’m making it up....
...big freaking whoop!
I was # 78 at the booth today. I’ve never been higher than # 35.
And for the first time both my sons (18 & 23) voted with me!!!
Very cool!!!
That 90% must be all of you knuckle scraping neanderthals with guns, bibles and chaw so impolitely alluded to by ‘Mr. Hope and Change’. (Just a little good humored satire there)
This is a concealed carry "shall issue" state. They wouldn't take the chance.
Can you do us all a favor and supress your impulse to be a prick just for, say, the next 24 hours?
While it is no surprise the T would go Republican, it is still union country and has a good number of Democrat voters.
That said, the numbers for McCain are indicating that the union vote that went to Gore and Kerry is going the opposite way.
Let's defeat the Philly machine...
They wouldn’t dare try that in central and western PA
Hoping it’s not made-up BS bump...
To quote Ronald Reagan...
"Trust (I hope you are right) but verify (I'll believe it when I see it)"
The implication in the tip being that Mac is winning ALL of Western PA, not just the top of the T. That makes a big difference. The T doesn't work with just Philadelphia and not Pittsburgh.
My precinct is running about 1.5X the usual turnout here in SW PA. I’d have to say this indicates a VERY GOOD THING for McCain. I usually vote at 11AM and for the past 3 pres. elections, I am usually anywhere from #80 to #90. Today, I was #160.
Other FANTASTIC news...they are checking photo ID @ my precinct as well!!!! This was surprising, good news.
If this is a state-wide effort, this might explain why there are Black Panther Parties springing up in the Eastern side of the state.
I have to admit, I almost had a nervous breakdown last night, but I am feeling good today :-)!
Middle Paxton area here, steady flow in and out of the building. I love seeing people vote!
On the downside. I went to the Giant store after voting and I came out to see some young black male that works there staring at my SUV. Then it dawned on me I had a Mccain/Palin sticker. So I walked up to him and he gave me an ugly look. I asked him you have a problem with something ? He turned and went back to work. I’m no racist and I didn’t appreciate him thinking I was because I am against Obama.
You forgot “redneck”!
This is the honest truth - the road I live on is named ‘Moonshine Road”!
And on that note I’m off to the PX for a case of beer.
Regardless of how today ends, I’m gonna need a drink!
“There are a few areas outside the T that are included.”
Great news.thanks.
From the Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam website, FinalCall.com...
Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We are happy today to be standing side by side with the Nation of Islam. We believe, like the Nation of Islam and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad believe, in a nation of our own. We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology. We dont worry about the criticism. We love all of those who labored in the Panther Party from the 60s. Many are with us today."

NEW!! TODAY! Voting Intimidation By Black Panthers In Philadelphia

Curious, are you in the Murtha district?
I’d love to see ol’ racist rednecks tossed out the door.
McCain is going to win big in the T. But if he is also winning in Southwestern PA, he’s going to win PA. If he even breaks even in Southwestern PA, he still has a very good chance of winning PA.
Let me put this in context. In 2004, Kerry defeated Bush in PA by 51-49. He won the SW part of PA (Pittsburgh and surrounding areas) by 7 points, representing 23% of the votes of the entire state (1.61% of the entire statewide vote). The other key area is Northeastern PA (Scranton area). Kerry won that area by only 51-49, and that part of the state represents 14% of the total vote.
These are both areas where Obama performed very badly in the Democratic primaries. It isn’t at all clear to me that he will be able to perform as well as Kerry did.
Finally, there are swing counties in SE PA (Philly suburbs) that may hold the final key to PA. Obama should win these counties, but if McCain can hold down his margin of victory he may win the state. McCain actually had one of his last events over the weekend in Delaware County, which is one of these key counties.
