Quinn & Rose this morning announced that US Attorney Peter Fitzgerald (yes, THAT Peter Fitzgerald) is bringing a RICO case against ACORN. Accusations involve mass voter fraud and allegations brought by the Clinton Campaign against them as well.
Give that man a cigar!! LOL
I know that but the Feds need to move at warp speed because we are about to elect a Marxist and as president, he will kill any investigation and pardon all involved.
Brief Fling in OKC for Controversial ACORN
Didn’t leave favorable impression with City organizations.
At one point in the past year, ACORN members led a demonstration against Oklahoma City police over an alleged incident involving some minority youths near a northeast side movie theater. They also staged a protest of alleged lack of street lighting in one northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood near the OU Medical Center.
The organization has a Tulsa office at 531 E. 36th St. North and a listed phone number. A voice mail indicated workers were in ‘the field working on the campaign’.
There was no indication if it was a voter-registration campaign or a presidential campaign. An Oklahoma City spokesman said if the group had received HUD money, there is a clear prohibition of political lobbying.
Notice what Obama is syaing this morning. He is saying he never worked for ACORN.
Yep, and that’s the reason we homeschool our kids. None of our family believes us when we say the schools are indoctrinating our kids. But when I see the outcome - the things my children are aware of, and how they view our country, and how they understand our government vs. how their peers view things - I KNOW we’ve done the right thing. I’m not saying ALL public school kids are “lost”, but so many of them are.
It’s all part of the Communist Manifesto, as you said it’s been going on for DECADES now. I just hope it’s coming to a head now, and that we can start getting back to where we came from somehow. I would rather deal with this NOW, in the hopes that my children can enter their adult years with this horrible chapter behind our country, ya know? It scares me what their lives would be like if we are unable to stop this tide of Communism.
[I almost forgot! I completely understand about the OBE, too. One of my favorite teachers in High School (who I now understand to be a “classic liberal professor type” became the head of our English Department after I graduated and instituted that in our High School’s English Department. I don’t know if they still follow it, but I remember how big that push was in the early 90s right after I graduated.]
SERIOUSLY? He is saying he NEVER worked for them, AT ALL? How much is the MSM going to let him get away with before THEY wake up, too? This is getting absolutely BEYOND ridiculous!
We need to ask the DUmmies, “What’s racist about shutting down an organization that makes black people look terrible. There are plenty of blacks that don’t want to be smeared by this organization.”

Using the poor as a means to an end.
ACORN befriends the poor and pretends to "feel their pain." Once the bonding is complete, ACORN plays the devils advocate and "calmly" suggest a villain to blame. This facilitator , or change agent, then becomes an agitator. The process involves playing one group against another - in this case, the rich vs. the poor, creating a war between the two factors. The end goal is to silence the opposition from speaking out against the target victim, who is now a political tool.
Good guys win is what is keeping my sanity.
The more I have thought about, the more convinced I am that those two men got behind McCain because they knew what was at stake. Like you, I thought McCain was dead in the water but at the next Rudy fundraiser here that we handled for him, he said something to the effect that never count out his best friend. Thought to myself standing there that it was strange.
It was even stranger that Thompson who had supported McCain in 2000 was going to run when he didn’t seem to have the fire to run and frankly the last time I saw Rudy he didn’t either. But get those two men at the Convention talking about McCain and there was plenty of fire.
We are in for an interesting month of October and from everything I have heard the polls they are releasing for the most part are garbage. Now they have added the question in some polls if you will vote for a black for President. Who is going to tell a pollster no when they have your name and phone number?
Will do - thanks for the reminder about the psy-ops stuff. It’s definitely good to keep in mind.
I agree with you about the ACORN thing. It did seem rather idiotic.
Going back through my pings and just saw your post about “as the rumor goes”. LOL I will definitely keep in mind what you said. I’ll just try to remain optimistic. :)
I don't think Obama has any intention of only serving 8 years if he won. Would he pull a Bloomberg who is now running for a 3rd term but wouldn't even hear of Rudy staying in off a few more months after 9/11?
Obama campaign tries to downplay ‘supposed’ connections between their candidate and ACORN:

Obama Formerly Represented ACORN, Taught Classes For Future Leaders Of ACORN, And They Endorsed His 2008 Presidential Campaign:
Obama Directed Project Vote And Later Taught Classes For “Future Leaders Identified By ACORN And The Centers For New Horizons.” “He [Obama] says he is drawn to politics, despite its superficialities, as a means to advance his real passion and calling: community organization.
... In 1992 Obama took time off to direct Project Vote, the most successful grass-roots voter- registration campaign in recent city history. Credited with helping elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the U.S. Senate, the registration drive, aimed primarily at African-Americans, added an estimated 125,000 voters to the voter rolls — even more than were registered during Harold Washington’s mayoral campaigns. ‘It’s a power thing,’ said the brochures and radio commercials.
... Obama continues his organizing work largely through classes for future leaders identified by ACORN and the Centers for New Horizons on the south side.” (Hank De Zutter, Op-Ed, “What Makes Obama Run?” ChicagoReader, 12/8/95)
Obama Was Part Of Team Of Lawyers Who Represented ACORN In A Suit Against The State Of Illinois. “Obama was part of a team of attorneys who represented the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in a lawsuit against the state of Illinois in 1995 for failing to implement a federal law designed to make it easier for the poor and others to register as voters.” (Mike Robinson, “Obama Got Start In Civil Rights Practice,” The Associated Press, 2/20/07)
ACORN’s Political Action Committee Endorsed Obama. “[A]CORN’s political action committee endorsed Barack Obama for President. ... The endorsement reflects a belief that Obama — who worked as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago — understands that change must come from the ground-up, as part of a working coalition, rather than from position papers.” (Katrina Vanden Heuvel, Op-Ed, “ACORN: Obama Gets It,” The Nation, 2/23/08)
Obama’s Campaign Paid Over $800,000 To ACORN For Get-Out-The-Vote Efforts, But “Mistakenly Misrepresented” Their Work To The FEC:
Obama’s Campaign “Paid More Than $800,000” To ACORN For Get-Out-The Vote Efforts; The Campaign Originally “Misrepresented” The Group’s Work To The FEC. “U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat’s campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports. An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc.
— a subsidiary of ACORN
— worked in ‘get-out-the-vote’ projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.” (David M. Brown, “Obama To Amend Report On $800,000 In Spending,” Pittsburgh Tribune Review, 8/22/08)
While Serving On The Board Of Directors Of The Woods Fund, ACORN Received Thousands Of Dollars Of Grants From The Organization:
The Chicago ACORN Received Grants Of $45,000 (2000), $30,000 (2001), $45,000 (2001), $30,000 (2002), And $40,000 (2002) From The Woods Fund. (Donors Forum Website, ifs.donorsforum.org, Accessed 6/10/08)
— NOTE: From 1993 To 2002, Barack Obama Served On The Board Of Directors.
For The Woods Fund. (Tim Novak and Fran Spielman, “Obama Helped Ex-Boss
Get $1 Mil. From Charity,” Chicago Sun-Times, 11/29/07)
The Goals 2000 Program.
The Lefts goal was to have all the children go through the program by the year 2000. A graduating child in the year 2000 would have started the program in kindergarten and completed the entire course. From that point on, all graduating students would be indoctrinated.
Yes. We home school.
Once that happens all investigations will be shut down immediately with the help of the extremely corrupt Democrat House and Senate. Mainly because their fingerprints are all over this thing.
I fear you may be right, PSYCHO-FREEP...
Gee whiz I hope this gets serious traction!
The October Surprise!!!
Could the Democrats still witch nominees at this point?
on behalf of Acorn, Obama and a team of Chicago attorneys won a 1995 suit forcing the state of Illinois to implement the federal motor-voter bill. In fact, Obamas Acorn connection is far more extensive. In the few stories where Obamas role as an Acorn leadership trainer is noted, or his seats on the boards of foundations that may have supported Acorn are discussed, there is little follow-up. Even these more extensive reports miss many aspects of Obamas ties to Acorn.
Acorns new goals are municipal living wage laws targeting big-box stores like Wal-Mart, rolling back welfare reform, and regulating banks efforts styled as combating predatory lending. Unfortunately, instead of helping workers, Acorns living-wage campaigns drive businesses out of the very neighborhoods where jobs are needed most. Acorns opposition to welfare reform only threatens to worsen the self-reinforcing cycle of urban poverty and family breakdown. Perhaps most mischievously, says Stern, Acorn uses banking regulations to pressure financial institutions into massive donations that it uses to finance supposedly non-partisan voter turn-out drives.
According to Stern, Acorns radical agenda sometimes shifts toward undisguised authoritarian socialism. Fully aware of its living-wage campaigns tendency to drive businesses out of cities, Acorn hopes to force companies that want to move to obtain exit visas. How much longer before Acorn calls for exit visas for wealthy or middle-class individuals before they can leave a city? asks Stern, adding, This is the road to serfdom indeed.
In Your Face
Acorns tactics are famously in your face. Just think of Code Pinks well-known operations (threatening to occupy congressional offices, interrupting the testimony of General David Petraeus) and youll get the idea. Acorn protesters have disrupted Federal Reserve hearings, but mostly deploy their aggressive tactics locally. Chicago is home to one of its strongest chapters, and Acorn has burst into a closed city council meeting there. Acorn protestors in Baltimore disrupted a bankers dinner and sent four busloads of profanity-screaming protestors against the mayors home, terrifying his wife and kids. Even a Baltimore city council member who generally supports Acorn said their intimidation tactics had crossed the line.
