Okay, folks. Let's keep an eye on this debate and see if Sarah can beat down hairplug.
Wait - is that a strategy or a tactic? ;-)
I understand that. But it does not take away from the loss. Thats real. I know.
My daughter thought that Gwen may have leaked the questions to Joe, given his immediate responses.
Gwen tried a gotcha on the gay marriage issue and Palin reminded Gwen of the original question for Biden and answered that brilliantly.
mccain needs to get his own satelite channel.
IT DOES NOT COST THAT MUCH.
just run his commercials,
just run sarah’s stump speeches over and over and over.
24/7
just keep in all rolling.
Even a simple report vote fraud hotline pitch.
they have such chances.
Sorry about the slowdown half way through the debate. We were cranking along under three times our normal load when suddenly one of the old servers smoked. Then all of our servers overloaded. Took John a few minutes to bust up the logjam. One server is still down, but the system is running.

Just had to be repeated so accurate.
This is Superfan Todd Swerski checking in with the final score in tonights debate.
Sarah Palin - 279
Joe Biden - 2
You're right. Good catch!
Sarah said “Back in the day when we were free”
That hit me also. With Obama in power we will certainly be saying exactly that!
Great job picking that out and certainly a great, wonderful night for Sarah and our country.

If you are a Bosnian you are a Muslim. If you are not a Muslim in that part of the world you are a Serb.

Maybe it’s because I never watched those gotcha, gaffe interviews with Sarah, that made people here, of all places, start to lose faith in her, that I never doubted she would knock it out of the park tonight. Sometimes, you see, a bit of ignorance helps. Her character shone through at the Convention and no idiot box interviews could ever erase that. Trees. Forest.
At what point does it become watchable? After 45 minutes? 60?
CNN new Motto: ‘CNN — The OFFICAL OBAMA LOVEFEST NETWORK!”
“Why did he cry?”
Delawarean who doesn’t like Biden but for historical accuracy...
Biden’s wife and year-old daughter were killed in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping in Hockessin, Delaware on December 18, 1972,[2] just a few weeks after the election. (Neilia Biden’s station wagon was hit by a tractor-trailer as she pulled out from an intersection; the truck driver was cleared of any wrongdoing).

It looks like a bit of a mixed bag at Intrade, with Obama/Biden basically lightly ahead. Their ticket showed +1.2 on 1498 volume on the new Presidential Debate contract, which seems to be exactly for the purpose of which Im using right now. The individual contracts, which normally have the highest volume and highest emotional content, had a +0.1 and 0.1 swing from McCain to Obama on low volume. Basically not much change. The Party contracts did see a + 2.7 point swing for Obama on light volume. BUT the Sarah Palin withdraw contract lost 4.9 points, almost half its value, on medium volume (on a thin contract, which is probably a significant indicator). The Biden Withdrawal contract dropped down 0.1 on only 1 share of volume.
What does this mean? Well, the volumes are kind of light, so it probably doesnt mean much. However, on the Palin withdrawal contract, we would have seen it go UP significantly if she really did poorly, but it went DOWN significantly; also the volume on this contract is significant in comparison to the rest of the trades on that contract. So it looks like the perception of her being a lightweight is going out the window. But Biden held his own, and thats about all the democrats needed to do in order to continue moving ahead.
