Reading FR over the past 48 hours or so has been downright depressing. Yesterday I found myself snapping at my children for no other reason than my negative state of mind. The election is still a month away. I don't believe that all is lost. Polls are being manipulated and so are we!
So, what GOOD news have you heard lately? What is going on in your part of the country that gives you hope that McCain will win? What positive anecdotes can you share with all of us? Post it here. We could all use the encouragement.

Look at it this way: If Sarah Palin gets in it probably means that God will be merciful for a while longer. If Obama gets in then we know that Jesus Christ will return sooner than expected. :-)
The good news is God is still on the thrown and Barack Obama’s followers are in big trouble for thinking they can replace Him.

My mom is a lifelong Democrat, from a long line of Democrats. Six months ago she still believed old concept of Democrats as the ‘party of the people’ and she liked Obama. I started bombarding her, politely and gently, with the facts from FR. Three months ago she was undecided. When Palin got on the ticket I sent her Sarah’s biography. Last week my Mom put a McCain bumper sticker on her car and mailed me two, one for my car and one to give to a friend!

I’m sorry...did you interpret my post as a threat of some sort? I believe that there are elements that will respond violently to an Obama defeat, much as there was a violent response...well beyond Simi Valley, I might add, to the verdict in the case of the officer’s involved in the Rodney King beating. That is all.

i bought mine from that same corner yesterday. all the palin buttons were gone. i had to get one of mccain and palin. it’s really nice. wore it all day today and tomorrow to the giants game.
