GOOD NEWS! POST YOUR GOOD NEWS HERE!! (vanity)

Reading FR over the past 48 hours or so has been downright depressing. Yesterday I found myself snapping at my children for no other reason than my negative state of mind. The election is still a month away. I don't believe that all is lost. Polls are being manipulated and so are we!

So, what GOOD news have you heard lately? What is going on in your part of the country that gives you hope that McCain will win? What positive anecdotes can you share with all of us? Post it here. We could all use the encouragement.

We live in the United States of America. That trumps all the negativity that will ever come our way and this one blessing make us the most fortunate people in history.

99% of the world would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

1) Jay Leno actually did a joke about media bias! He mentioned the PBS Ifill story and wondered if she can be fair. He then showed a mockup of a romantic novel cover with a muscular/torn-shirt wearing Obama holding a swooning Ifil in his arms. And, the audience loved it (plus, millions of viewers were made aware of this situation).

2) After forwarding lots of stories from Freerepublic, columns from Sowell, Prager and Larry Elder, and stories from Mrc.org, some of my liberal and naive friends are starting to be wary of MSM liberal bias, the lies of the left, lies told about about the right, etc.

3) On ‘Prison Break’ Gretchen and T-Bag will team up

4) I completed my seventh ‘Sneaky’ book yesterday (you can see more at Sneakyuses.com if you desire)

Some people are only happy when they’re mad. He’s got plenty to be mad at, is obviously furious, so he must be happy.

The Cubs are finally going to make it back to the World Series and Win! If that can happen, anything is possible.

Breaking the electoral college down, it’s about as bottom as it gets, but McCain/Palin are still in it! The good news, there are 21 states where no matter how bad it has gotten or gets will be for McCain/Palin (THANK GOD FOR SARAH!)(AK, ID, UT, AZ, MT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, SC, TN, KY, and WV)with 163 votes and that means we need 107 to win. Obama Biden only have 13 states + DC locked up (WA, OR, CA, HI, IA, IL, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, and VT for 193 votes.

The good news of the remaining 16 states is that they are all winnable and not out of hand. A strong Palin performance more than likely will keep MO/IN/ and NC red getting us to 200. Obama likely gets MN and Maine could possibly split an electoral vote to McCain, but at worst it’s 207-200 Obama.

From everything I’ve seen on here, PA is seriously in play. It is hard to see McCain win PA without also taking OH and VA.

And I do not believe Obama will take VA. I just don’t. You can’t look at Kaine/Warner/Webb and compare their success in elections to Obama. Both ran right-center. When McCain picked Palin, he shored up the conservative part of the state. Also, McCain’s military background should keep the blowout margins Obama would need in NOVA, Richmond under control. The ONLY way Obama wins is the same way Jim Webb
won (conservative voters stayed home - and yet Allen still got within 7500 votes?)

So good news is McCain/Palin are still in this. A change in OH-FL-PA-VA would swing enough electoral votes to claim victory

In other good news, pre-election voting (fraud) turnout here in Ohio is much lower than expected.

I know! I heard that yesterday on Fox, they said the turn out was mediocre at best and the Obambi camp was disappointed (that their fraud scheme is sucking big time)

I filled up my car with gas today for $3.319. I realize that the “good news” is relative, but I’ll take what I can get.

“I sent out an e-mail to 10 friends asking that we form a prayer chain for Sarah tonight...and asked that they send it to friends. Since 9am I’ve received 700 emails from 43 states and 4 countries wanting to join the chain.”

WOW!!

All survey companies over-poll democrats, so you should feel very upbeat if they say Johnny is only 4 points down. I don’t see Obama winning this and I have not been wrong yet.

Drove into work this morning (Colorado Springs)

The sun was rising on Pikes Peak. It had that “purple mountain majesty”

Just beautiful - I forgot about the election for a moment :-)
