A week after a high-profile send-up of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live," the NBC comedy show returned to making fun of the Alaskan governor in a skit where New York Times reporters sought to probe the possibility Palin's husband was having sex with the couple's own daughters.
"What about the husband?" asked a Times reporter during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."
The assignment editor for the Times, portrayed by actor James Franco, responded: "He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin."
The skit featured a photo of one reporter and an on-screen message that stated, "In 2009 [reporter] Howland Gwathmey Moss, V was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his Times series on unproven, yet un-disproven incest in the Palin family. Sadly, he was to die 3 months later, run over by a snow machine, driven by a polar bear."
The final shot showed an image of a New York Times page, with headlines that included:
"While No Direct Evidence of Incest in Palin Family Emerges, Counter Evidence Remains Agonizingly Elusive" and "In a Small Alaska Town, Doubts Still Linger."

*Just quoting Franco's line from the skit. :-)
Yes, that skit wasn’t very good. It wasn’t very well acted either. It was also unfair to McCain because both sides always engage in that type of activity to a certain degree. It certainly isn’t limited to McCain in this campaign, so why single him out.
We already "know" that Barb Walters had a thing for Castro. Was Hillary in a lesbian relationship with Donna Shalala? No way to be sure.
Has Obama been diddling his daughters? Lacking proof that he hasn't, according to the assumptive capacities of the Left, we have to assume he has.
Trash talk is easy. The trashiest of the trash talkers, the lowest of the scum sucking, bilge drinking garbage that pass for political intellectuals have perennially been those of the "progressive" cult. Do we expect any less from them?
Lot of sickos at there in L/MSM land.
I had to get out of the house this weekend and away from politics for 48 hours, so I just saw your post to me.
Thank you for your kind words and prayers. It was my faith and the prayers of others who have helped me for many years now.
I agree with you about television, at least network. The only time we ever put on network TV is for sporting events. I get my news from various sources but not the alphabet channels.
For entertainment our channel line up is A&E, Discovery, TLC, Military and History Channel, Investigation Discovery. Programming like that.
I’m sure you will agree that the socialist/progressive movement that has not only turned mortality upside down, but has taken what was and should never be considered tasteful and made it common.
I’m scared to think where our country is headed.
I agree.
The problem is not SNL but the enemedia."
For what it's worth, here's a little rant about the enemedia by my son:
I didn't join up to be part of some government conspiracy--I joined because I thought it was just one small way that I could contribute to the people of this country... although the discipline didn't hurt much either. As I think back to that oath, something about all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC... I wonder who is really to blame for the degredation of the American society. My money's on the American mass media. It seems like you can't turn on the news without seeing news reports about the death and destruction, and commercials that seem to subtlely induce worthlessness or fear, offering solace in the consumption of goods and services. The way I see it, people in this country (and the attitude is spreading across the globe), are encouraged by corporations and broadcasters to spend more and acquire more stuff, inducing a sense of security in material wealth. Some things, even tradition, can have a spin put on them to make the public needlessly wary--even fearful. Why aren't houses in this country built with big front porches anymore? Probably because we know more about fictional TV characters than we do our own neighbors.... Though I think this veritable brainwashing may not have been intentional, the people who cultivate this sort of society have a lot of the general public in their pocket, and many are trying to use their positions to reshape the world the way they think it should be, not taking into account any consequence of their actions. Given a choice and an opportunity, I'd gladly do my part to "restructure" the commercial institutions that poison the society whose flag will one day be draped over my coffin. [/rant]
Its high time we fought back against domestic enemies here at home.
They haven't let up since the 60's, and wage war largely unfettered on decency, common sense, and morality.
Here's hoping people like your son and mine will emerge as leaders in that struggle.
