Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois today exhorted his supporters to get extremely aggressive in their communities to persuade their neighbors to vote for Obama in November.
Speaking to a crowd in Elko, Nevada, Obama was quoted by the AP as urging the people to be his 'ambassadors':
"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.
"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."
Obama has campaigned as a uniter. One can't help but wonder how neighbors will react to people getting up in their faces arguing to them to vote for Obama and how many friendships will be ruined by Obama this fall.

I so want an Obama supporter to try telling me that. I'd tell them his record on guns is exactly the opposite and that he is lying when he says he believes in the second amendment, and they are either lying too or they are stupid for believing his lie. Then on taxes I would tell them he is lying about that too because when he lets the W tax cuts expire that is a tax increase. And just like slick willie clinton promised to cut taxes for the middle class, the first thing he did upon getting elected was force through the largest tax increase on middle class families in the history of the US. He is lying, and his followers are either idiots for believing his lies or liars for repeating them.

Not just mau mau. He gives them a card to use as their very own teleprompter whenever he talks at them. They all say “Ya Wohl Mein Commandant!”

The way Obama adopts this “black” voice always creeps me out. This is a half-white American, half-foreign kid who grew up partly in Indonesia and partly in a prosperous household in Hawaii - he has NO legitimate title to the “black” accent or way of speech. But he is cultivating the thug sound, the sloppy speech, even the “uhs” that the brain dead punks put into everything, and the stupid grunts that he seems to believe make him sound authentically black. No way he’d adopt the cultivated, precise speech of an intelligent man who happens to be black - Justice Clarence Thomas - because for some reason Obama has decided that power in the US lies with the underclass.
At what point does arguing and getting in a neighbor's face become HARASSMENT and INTIMIDATION? This could be criminal intimidation of voters in violation of FEC law.
