Sound not synchronized on Palin Gibson interview?

Even worse. It reminds me of the types you would see in college. You would be in a circle of people and be discussing a current topic. You would give your opinion and then some arrogant, smug jerk would look down at you as if you had the education of a 4th grader and try and one up you by belittling you and trying to explain to the others what you really meant to say but were too stupid to say it.

Seriously! I have had my share of car salesmen and they are smooth because they want to make the sale, Charlie was not smooth at all.

I predict they edited out any comments she made in regards to her opponents and any humorous comments she made.

If you remember the movie “Broadcast News,” there was a scene where William Hurt feigned crying after an interview was over.

And it was edited into the interview as if it was happening the very moment the person was speaking.

Well, ABC very easily could have used reaction shots of Palin during a question asked by gibson that occurred at a completely different part of the interview just to make her look bad.

In other words, the facial expression they showed could have been in response to a question that was totally different from the one we heard on the voice-over.

I think everyone is getting way to wound up on this "Bush Doctrine" question.

Brit's Panel, preparing for the Presidential Forum, just commented on the ABC Interview. Fred: She did quite well, she said she was ready to be President. Charlie tried to get her to answer on Israel three times but she didn't take the bait. Nina: Trap doors which she avoided. Bill: The media is out to get her; she did fine. She answered correctly on Russia and NATO. Juan: She was all generalities and didn't comfort anyone but she didn't make any gaffes.

As in her lack of knowledge in the media coined term “Bush Doctrine”. Tell me where she flubbed her view on the world, fighting terrorism, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and staying vigilent.

Not knowing what the Bush Doctrine was is a major stumble...

Palin's response was essentially to state that Bush is doing what he thinks necessary to fight terrorists hellbent on our destruction. This is not a response sufficiently specific to satisfy purists, and the "in what respect?" reply from Palin certainly implies a lack of exact understanding.

However, there will be enough room for both sides to maneuver and spin the exchange. I heard nothing fatal in Palin's responses.
