Sound not synchronized on Palin Gibson interview?

Update: From what I understand, they’ll run part of the interview on the 6:30 news, then the rest on Nightline at 11:35. Use this thread for both. I indeed didn’t even know it referred to a specific policy. You hear it being used as an ephitet to describe Bush’s worldview far more often. I read the transcript of this question and her answer, expecting a major gotcha, but it didn’t happen. She did fine. Shrug.

Just saw the first part. She is doing fine. Too many Charles references but other than that....okay.

The set up around the interview is weird. He is obviously much taller than her and he is looking down his nose at her...really weird. The tape in part is not in sync with her lips. Just really weird....

I haven’t seen it yet. But would you say that he treated her like most car salesmen treat a woman when she tries to buy a car? Or the repair guy not listening to or believing her description of a mechanical problem? From what I hear that infuriates women and it has happened to most of them.

It is a media coined term and how about the snide way in which Gibson ‘enlightened’ her!

Considering Charlie only stated one part of the generally accepted three part doctrine, he has nothing to criticize. She was correct in asking him which part. And he was wrong to act as though she was stupid for asking.

It was obvious he wanted her to agree with the President so they could say she would be “more of the same.”

Notice the difference in gibson’s attitude and the massive difference in the editing.

Again, why was gibson constantly twirling his ankle during the Palin interview, but, in a the few two-shots during the barry interview he wasn’t?

Palin did just fine in her interview. She kept control of the interview, didn't let Gibson bully her, and responded without hesitation on all the questions she was asked. They edited her comments down, cutting her comments off while she was still talking. You could actually still see her mouth moving as they moved from clip to clip. Palin sat forward during the talk, leaning in towards Gibson, looking him right in the face. Her body language showed she was in control. She certainly wasn't intimidated by him. When he asked her if she believed it was alright to launch attacks over the Pakistan border, she said "all options were on the table when it came to protecting our country." She was cool, calm and collected. A very forceful woman.
