Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."
Wow!!! Now that is an amazing post..thought provoking.

It’s been a while now, and this is still front page. There are so many conservs out there so willing to give Obummer a break on this- like Brit Hume’s panel today.
Well, I am not willing to cut him slack on this.
He said it and meant it exactly as it was understood. NO ONE ever said this guy was smart. I KNOW who the pig is, and it isn’t Sarah.
I’m getting in on this thread too late to get caught up so this may have already been brought to light but does anyone remember the story about Obama written by Michelle Obama? It was some time ago, when Hillary was still in the picture. She said her and their daughters had a nickname for him and it was “STINKY”. That’s right! Stinky!!! She said it was because when he got up in the morning, he smelled and they wouldn’t have anything to do with him until he cleaned up. How gross is that? I remember the story well because everytime I hear his name, I think............ Stinky!!

Just watching Hannity/Colmes now.
Hannity ONLY referred to the ‘lipstick’ (pitbull) portion of the quote but neglected the ‘fish’ (Barracuda) reference which is, I think, critical in linking the statements to an attack on Sarah.

Just when you think they couldn’t go any lower they sink deeper still. The Democrats are like the Scorpion and the Frog. Even though their tactics are turning all good people against them, they have to lie and smear on and on. They can’t help themselves. It’s their nature!

Forgive me for over-dramatising, but I see this developing into a struggle of Revelationesque proportions. Sarah is coming to represent the ultimate right and Obama consummate wrong. All shades of grey are fading out and the sides have become sharply drawn along simple lines of whether or not this is to become an exclusively secular society. When the stakes are the soul of the nation there doesn’t seem to be any room for moral relativism or polite hair-splitting. (Thank God.)
Your typical pot smoker is quasi-Manchurian, and it could be a simple matter of Obama pushing himself too hard on the campaign trail. Heck, he could be ‘self-medicating’.

Talking about this with friends, some liberal, the point was made how this was all taken out of context. My point was if Obama didn't have the smarts to see how this would be misconstrued (assuming he had no desire to denigrate Palin) he shouldn't be president. If Obama knew exactly how the veiled point would be taken he shouldn't be president because he is such a nasty person who doesn't know how to handle pressure.
Either way, it's clear Obama should not be president.
I've posited a similar theory, except my thought was that Obama has now realized that he's in far, far "above his pay grade", and is living in a nightmare something like that Bill Murray movie, where he wakes up every day, and lives the same day, over and over again.

I was just telling a friend that same thing last night. It's entirely conceivable that McCain's win will set up Palin for two terms, then a possible two terms for her VP.
The Democrat party is now in an even bigger fight than the election. That is the fight between the nouveau hard-left, who have taken the helm of the party, and the old guard Democrats.
The MoveOn, Soros left is taking their party over a cliff, and the old guard now has to excise them from the party to steer back to the center, if they ever want to win another presidential election.

I've seen it. It's gone viral, and is making the rounds everywhere. It's pretty powerful. Especially the part where he turns and walks away.
Anyone with the heart of a patriot will be deeply affected by that video.
It would make a good litmus test, if you ever wanted to cull the herd.
