Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA:
Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

If you watch the video, you will see Obama stroke his forehead and hide his eyes when he utters the famous words. His body language betrays that he knows he is doing something shameful.
GMTA!
See similar words from here: http://tammybruce.com/2008/09/obama_panics_hits_bottom_of_ba.php:
...Outrageous. Actually, without devolving into too much body language issues here, even Obama is uncomfortable with what he's about to do. Notice he puts his hand up to ostensibly scratch his face, but is actually covering it.
And remember also, we've learned he uses teleprompters at these events, so that slur was not off-the-cuff, it was written and planned and he delivered it, consciously... - Tammy Bruce

Yes, gleefulness aside, one poster mentioned what Sarah’s sister said, that the Palin family is upset by what they’re reading on the web. That’s why I mentioned them in particular. But yes, we should pray for the McCains too, and the Bush family— and for the talk radio hosts [uh, where do I stop?]

McCain camp angry over Obama's 'lipstick' comment (AP) AP shows their even-handed, non-biased approach again.
Spin of the first degree.

Is there a link someplace with Hillary ‘no commenting?’ Because that is a true break in ‘unity’ if she said it. No comment means, I’m not defending this $#it....hmmmm.

I doubt if he was giving a speech written for him. Red Alert! Obama off script again! Obama handlers: Time to scramble!

Well, the timing sure belies that, as well as his track record. Anybody who believes this was innocent is either brainwashed or the quintessential subject of old jokes

Yes, it comes in the midst of attacks on her newborn baby’s identity, attacks on her daughter’s pregnancy, attacks on her relationship with her husband (adultery charged), smear after smear. So the great communicator falls prey to his own revealing nuance, that’s very fitting.

No, the Huckster did! And Sean just let it go. Of course, Alan jumped with joy over the Huckster being his new friend.

I agree with you.
And he has been caught by his supposed cleverness; by his own celebrated intellect letting him down.

Hugh Hewitt just said on his show that John Bolton has been assigned to Palins team. WOW!!! WOW! is an understatement! I'm not in Obama's camp, but that scares even me! LOL!

It got their point across loudly and clearly--while at the same time, they can deny it. End of story. I doubt it. I almost think he's trying to lose. Rubbing his head before he says it is telling to me.

Our side is pushing it here. If we keep going after this non story then it can create a backlash against our side and people may get more sympathetic with Obama and will think that the Republicans are whiners. My humble advice: Drop it.

It just totally sucks when you back the wrong horse.
Personally, I’m just all broken up over it. (NOT).
I really wanted to vote Guiliani in the primary but he was out of it by the time we got to AZ.
I voted McCain to make a difference. Even though many, and I mean many in this forum was against him.
I hoped he would pick Sarah Palin as his running mate months ago and even suggested it on this forum and the suggestion was negated here too.
What a turn around.
Guiliani for US AG.

I agree and that seemed evident by the pause and interaction he had with the audience. Prayers for the Palin family for the unwarranted and nasty assault theyre getting from the Left.Thank you for your support.
