Vandals tore open the tent, flipped over the table holding candidates' literature and set parts of the display on fire.
SEATTLE - The King County Republican Party reports that their booth at Seattle's Bumbershoot festival was vandalized Sunday evening.
The vandals tore open the closed tent, flipped over the table holding candidates' literature and set parts of the display on fire. A person at a neighboring booth saw the flames and extinguished them before more damage was done.
The KCGOP says this is the first time in five years at the festival that their booth has had an incident of vandalism.
"There is just no room for this type of behavior in an important year such as this one," said King County GOP Chairman Lori Sotelo. "This incident sadly obscures what has otherwise been a great experience for us at Bumbershoot."
No suspects have been identified.

Tolerant libs. Except of course, for Republicans!

And why shouldn’t we be surprised?
Both Seattle papers are in the tank for Obama/Biden and are in bed with the Demo-rats in our state. Yet they chatter about how neutral they are. Whenever any media comes out for and endorses a candidate they are no longer neutral but biased.

I’ve lived across the street from every Bumpershoot since 91. I wouldn’t admit to being a conservative there without being armed.

Vandals tore open the tent, flipped over the table holding candidates' literature and set parts of the display on fire That's not vandalism. That's destruction of property and inciting a riot.

Gee! And,..It's the Liberal/Marxists who call the Repulicans fascists?
I wonder if the people who set the Republican booth on fire wore brown shirts?

During the first Bush/Cheney campaign I volunteered my duties and stood in front of Husky Stadium with a Bush Cheney sign with others prior the Seahawk game (Hawks were playing there that year). I could not believe the abusive comments we had to take. It was just awful. I could not count how many times we were flipped off.
I did get a Bush Christmas card for the next two years and I got invited to a private send off when he flew out of Boeing field once - so I guess it all was worth it.

Tolerant libs. Except of course, for Republicans! It's precisely because of innumerable acts like this that I won't put any Republican or Conservative bumper stickers on the stoatmobile.
I'm not wealthy enough to be able to constantly repair damage done to it by the Seattle Tolerance Patrol.

Typical. Bush ‘04 headquarters in Multnomah County Oregon was vandalized with smashed windows. GOP governor signs in ‘06 were chainsawed and destroyed all over Portland Oregon. Cops don’t put any priority on this type of vandalism. Never catch any suspects.

Whenever any media comes out for and endorses a candidate they are no longer neutral but biased.I doubt that anyone here is surprised, merely saddened. We are constantly and increasingly being given the very clear message that anyone who is at all to the Right of Lenin is not only unwelcome in Seattle, but will be physically attacked and harmed. It's becoming an increasingly frightening place to live.

That’s why I seldom go to Seattle - the place scares me too. I always fret a bit when heading to the airport where I work but at least it’s not all the way to Seattle. When I do go it’s daytime in summer and in winter I’m out of there early.
I also carry.
Regards,
J
