ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

The L.A. Times is just popped a big story the Obama-Biden folks don't want to be reading the night the Delaware senator introduces himself to the nation: a potential conflict of interest involving Biden and one of the nation's biggest asbestos litigation law firms — which also happens to be his top contributor.
The report seems to provide fuel to Obama supporters enraged Illinois senator picked a running mate with such deep ties to the D.C. cash-politics-lobbying world.

"When Joe Biden’s brother and son wanted to buy a hedge fund company two years ago, they turned for financing to a law firm that had lobbied the Delaware senator’s office on an important piece of business in Congress — and in fact had just benefited from his vote.
The firm promised James and Hunter Biden that it would invest $2 million, and it quickly delivered half of that sum.

One thing that surprised me over there was the number of people who recognized how stupid this makes the democRats look when they have been claiming Bristol Palin is the true mother of the baby with Down's Sydrome.

Pregnant Kid...yeah i know a bunch of kids like that many of which are being raised by their grandparents. Yup know may of those and something my household would do.
We just had a couple here that celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary...and they married at 16. Older marriages are actually a big risk, because people are too set in their ways to change. Marrying young and idealistic and working on it is great.

Underage kids having children out of wedlock is not a good thing. However, abortion is EVIL. I don't believe the Palin’s should openly celebrate this because that sets a bad precedent IMHO. But, they should certainly be joyous that their daughter is doing the right thing now, despite her lack of good judgement by having premarital sex.
There are (and will be) other great men and women. America makes them, as they help make America. Putting all bets on the future of our country in the wombs and loins of the offspring of those we've elected is disgusting to me as an American.

It's a non-issue. John Edwards had an affair and it was barely an issue for longer than a week. Besides, as long as the base still supports Palin, the general population could care less. It's just sex! The American public proved during the Clinton Impeachment it is no big deal to them as a whole.
I think I would not have had Bristol at the event.
I think I would have had a press release that Palin is a real mom dealing with real issues like teen pregnancy. I think I would have said in fact Bristol is not at the event because she is at home dealing with a teen pregnancy.
They could have spun it that Palin is pro-life and put’s those views into real action. First, she had a down syndrome baby, and now she is helping her teen daughter deal with her own pregnancy.
It was going to come out, so make it come out before it’s news.
