ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Look, I’ve posted several times on this thread that I will STILL be voting for McCain. I want to beat Obama-Biden. This event works against that goal.
If you don’t want to read all my posts, fine. Just don’t be spreading falsehoods either.
point of information:
Which posters here have shown “support ... for teen pregnancy”?
Please don't, it's one of my favorites. I think you look great in it.
My dad’s a preacher too and my sister did get pregnant at 16. Some people in our congregation villified our whole family. Of course when their daughters got pregnant they made them have abortions so their hypocrisy would stay well hidden. Having a fear of your parents doesnt make everyone abstain but it can drive you to make bad decisions out of fear. My sister knew she could rely on our parents to help even though she was scared to disappoint them.
You'd be surprised how stupid some 16 year old girls are about birth control and sex, such as thinking that douching is a way to remove semen after intercourse and eliminate the risk of pregnancy.
McCain had to choose between an imperfect but true conservative or a RINO, unless there's someone else I don't know about.
What happens if something does happen to McCain?? He’s old, so you have to be thinking that.
The presidency is not a job with light duties.
There ARE two parents here you know.
Because the “unintended consequences” are children- created by God who decided to make them.
The children are not mistakes.
They belong to God-despite the parents’ actions.
When you become pregnant a living human being is inside of you. The author of that life is God. God is never wrong.
“Pro-lifers are supposed to celebrate life. There is no double standard.
You should be condemning premarital sex, not teenage pregnancy.”
Have I told you lately that you are one of the smartest people I know...???
That’s why I think most people have an understanding about this. If we haven’t been there we know someone who has. My best friend (other than my husband ;)) got married young because his girlfriend was pregnant. That baby is now a beautiful, intelligent, talented young lady and I know he is happy he made the right decision.
The McCainbots resort to childish Romneybot name calling because McCain is indefensible as a RINO. The self-declared biggest RINO in the Senate.
which was a reply to my comment:
yet
which was a reply to pissant who wrote;
At least her son is not a left wing ballet dancer
which was a reply to my comment:
It says he knew..heck in most of these political families something is going on with the kids ...hard to avoid
which was a reply to pissant's original comment: (#4 btw)
Helluva job vetting there, McCain. LOL
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All of this brought a few irate comments from the mob such as PhiKapMom's
Let me assure you that my comment "yet" was not directed at Sarah Palins son who as it is stated is in the army and will soon be deployed. I was speaking in generalities about political families and responding to Pissant who reminded us that Ronald Reagans children did not all follow in his footsteps (ie. his son Ron)
My only point is that kids (plural anyone's kids and everyone' kids) do the darndest things
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So I suggest you that are irate take your own advice and please think before you respond
Apologies; I was taught things like "keep your hands in your pockets" (my mom), treat girls with respect (my dad and an older sibling), and "you can have sex AFTER marriage" (my high school teachers). I consider the act of abstaining from sex (and by extension, pregnancy) until after you're married and have some way of supporting yourself, your family, and your child to be so fundamental that I don't even think about it. And, when somebody commits a fundamental error, my first reaction will be something along the lines of, "How can you be that stupid?!"
...and finding it to be minimal, I accepted it.
It's minimal if it's a one-time event. If this becomes a pattern, well, then, you get the picture.
Premarital sex is just not a smart idea. If you're an American teen, at least finish high school first. Better yet, get some job training or go to college and get a job. And definitely get married first. And take responsibility for your actions. Then, the sky is the limit.
If Palin can turn this event into something that promotes such ideas, then it may turn out as a positive.
Lol. Attempt what? It was what it was, a bit of political history.
Aw, shucks.
Aha, so you are bitter that McCain didn't choose Fred? Sure, I would like for him to have chosen Hunter, the first candidate that I sent money to, but I'm not naive.
Please... Reagan Man DOES have the right to bring up the good points and concerns he has made, and do Xenalyte, and the several others who have expressed concerns.
