I believe in a woman’s right to work. But being pro family means that your family comes first. I truly believe Gov Palin needs to step aside. Let her son be raised out of infancy. Her daughter married, stable with a new baby, then think about national office in 4 to 8 years.

There ARE two parents here you know.

Well, the wedding hasn’t happened yet. If it was my daughter, I wouldn’t have run. Maybe I am wrong. If I had an unwed pregnant teen aged daughter at home, a newborn of my own, running for VP, campaigning across the country isn’t something I would do.

That is my value system. Family trumps all. I have turned down better paying jobs that would take more time away from my kids. They are my world.

Says it all. You know as a parent of three, you have to trust your kids to make the right choices and be there to support them when they decide poorly. That is what I see happening here. Otherwise, showing a lck of trust in them causes them to rebel even more. The Palins seem to have a rather large extended family and we know very little about the fiance. Did they get engaged then get pregnant? Does it even matter? Is this even news???

That being said... I have to commend the campaign for issuing the statement during the Gustav coverage. Too shrewd for words.
