Apologies; I was taught things like "keep your hands in your pockets" (my mom), treat girls with respect (my dad and an older sibling), and "you can have sex AFTER marriage" (my high school teachers). I consider the act of abstaining from sex (and by extension, pregnancy) until after you're married and have some way of supporting yourself, your family, and your child to be so fundamental that I don't even think about it. And, when somebody commits a fundamental error, my first reaction will be something along the lines of, "How can you be that stupid?!"
...and finding it to be minimal, I accepted it.
It's minimal if it's a one-time event. If this becomes a pattern, well, then, you get the picture.
Premarital sex is just not a smart idea. If you're an American teen, at least finish high school first. Better yet, get some job training or go to college and get a job. And definitely get married first. And take responsibility for your actions. Then, the sky is the limit.
If Palin can turn this event into something that promotes such ideas, then it may turn out as a positive.
Speculative. And remember that the media will make a pattern where there is none and making that pattern would be pretty easy with someone like Romney.

Nobody here disagrees with that. The issue is whether Palin was a good choice and the answer is [drum roll]: she is an imperfect but awesome true conservative!
