ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Neither is putting your hand in a chipper.”
Excellent analogy. Now, if your 17 year old daughter put her hand in a wood chipper, would you allow her to bleed to death while you berated her for her bad judgment, or maybe paraded her around the other neighborhood kids while shouting “See kids, this is what happens when you don't listen to your parents!”, or would you help her get the medical and mental attention and support she needed to move forward with her life?
Just asking.
Ditto!

You agree with Obama?
Are you insane?
You think this subject is off limits?
Then I suggest you leave the forum now.
And as you leave, ping the Modrators to delete this thread and the nearly 1500 replies.
After all, if you and Obama think this subject is off limits, then ....
She has since changed her mind...now it’s “I find it hard to believe”.
PROVE IT.
Is this what making big elections out of small things means?
Anytime.
LMAO!! If they float, they are dems. ;-)
Good to see you, CC!
I agree with you completely!
This has nothing to do with politics. How many families across the country have to or have had to deal with the same thing?
We’re human beings, not saints!
This girl feels pretty rotten right now. She knows she made a mistake. She also knows that 2 wrongs dont make a right, and shes willing to take responsibility for her actions. Thats alot more than some people would do. Get off her case!
I am sickened by the people on this thread who are ready to bring out not only the scarlet letter, but the tar and feathers as well!
May you receive the same treatment when YOU make a mistake. When YOU ask for forgiveness and understanding, remember how you spoke of this girl!

Well said. Here, here. We will all face God, and when I do, I’m going to beg forgiveness. My goodness, this nation can’t afford a Barak Obama presidency. What are these people thinking of NOT voting for McCain because of this issue. Gracious, they are giving truth to the Left’s cartoon impressions of Christians as intolerant, rigid, narrow minded and mean spirited.
What's that advertising slogan, "Life comes at you fast" ?
If it happens to someone you know or in your own family, how are you going to react? Abortion is out of the question. Some families will take it better than others but you manage. It's not the end of the world for the mother to be or for her family.
Whether McCain and Palin win or lose, it won't be because of the girl being pregnant.
Mah pleasure, ma’am !
HERE is another IMPORTANT thread, imho ...

Back off, newbie. Your post simply shows your ignorance of previous posts.
Yes, I suppose if would have been much better if when introducing her family, Sarah had said, "...And this is Bristol, she is seventeen, 5 months pregnant by a half black school friend. Wooo Hooo!" sarc/
W’s daughters kept out of trouble. I see W and Laura as strong moral guides. Palins seem to be more free spirits
in some ways, for better and worse.
If they just bob around and sputter they’re RINOs. LOLOL
Your entire response is fraught with double-standareds.
I just don’t know where to begin refuting your weak and baseless arguments.
So I won’t.

Woah!
Hey! If it's good enough for THE MESSIAH woe be unto him who casts aspersions on the daughter Palin.
The NYP article did come out at 11:49 am Eastern.
Although the article explained what her statement was going to be, the statement itself is time stamped at 12:54 pm
That being said, she did a good job and can move on.
