Can't give up on the personal attacks, you two?

Be content that it is all they have. If they'd an intelligent argument to make, they'd have done so.

This is beyond any “look” or palin wears a skirt. It it was onlythat little, there would not be a full 10 points benefit with only bare coverage and a pathetic DUmmie attack on her daughter.

I would also like to see investigations into both Pelosi and Harry Reid. Heck, we haven’t even finished with Jefferson from LA and so many other Democrats who deserve being held accountable.

It seems to go this way. Republican? Investigate and prosecute as quickly as possible. Democrat? Let’s wait.

The question is whether or not she will make that fall.

She will fall, not if; everybody does, especially in the fishbowl of a national election campaign. The important part is, will she pick herself up or wait for somebody else to help her up? I think she will pick herself up, and any media or Joe "Beltway" Biden attempt to capitalize on it will only backfire.

I saw that yesterday! Weak excuse. Cheney fishing does not equate with a DEMOCART LEADER gleefully laughing about a another hurricane hitting New Orleans.

Agreed, at some point every candidate does or says something that can be used against them and/or come back to haunt them.

I do believe she will handle it well, because she has a good attitude and confidence to stand up for herself.

Thanks for remembering that, AFPhys! One other thing I will point out: the democrats had this plan in place because they thought there would be a terrorist attack, and this was the exact reponse they would have used had one happened.

Remember how Kerry kept going on and on about container shipping? I think there was probably a credible threat in that area which he no doubt got from his buddies on the Intelligence Committee.

But whatever attack was planned was thwarted. But they had their talking points all ready, so when Katrina came along they sprang into action, using their template to both smear the president and hopefully tempt him into unconstitutional action. Blanco actually spent more time talking to democrat politicians in Washington than FEMA officials or the emergency people in her own state.

The press dutifully manufactured a series of horror stories and paraded pitiful people across our screens. GOP officials and pundits ran for the tall weeds, rather than defending the president and questioning Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin. I have not forgotten who those people were, and they will never regain my respect.

One example sticks in my mind: Newt Gingrich. He was on Fox advocating a “Marshall Plan” (big federal government spending) for the Gulf Coast, and criticizing the President for not coming forth with this idea. Fast forward almost a year, to when we discovered the fraud and corruption and waste in the Katrina aid spending, and there was Newt on Fox again. This time he was saying that the fraud and waste are what happen when you have big federal programs like Katrina, and that aid should have come through the private sector.

Gingrich obviously was interested in hopping on the bash Bush bandwagon and getting his face on TV. I stopped listening to anything he had to say from that time forward.

Ah yes, I think bray takes offense to the fact where I called out the Bush-Country Club wing of the GOP.

Just read bray's profile. I would expect nothing less than such personal attacks from a rabid Bushbot.

I can’t afford a Country Club membership but would love to join one and some day hope to. Back to the class envy routine?

Since I posted the first post on my page 3-4 yrs ago and the second over a year ago when everyone said Iraq was a failure, what do you specifically disagree with.

I was right then and am right about you being a plant. Your own words exposed you. Pro Choice, never watched the debate, defends Kerry and wants to Cut & Run. What about you is there that is Conservative??

Now, tell me what is wrong with my page that you say you disagree so strongly with. Come on here’s your big chance, plant. Time for you to Put Up or Get Lost!

Your own words exposed you. Pro Choice, never watched the debate, defends Kerry and wants to Cut & Run. What about you is there that is Conservative??

You loathe me so badly, because of my refusal to support McCain, that you have twist my words and connect dots that don't exist in order to make me into something that I'm not.

That smacks of desperation.

Let's review your words, shall we?

Your own words exposed you. Pro Choice, never watched the debate, defends Kerry and wants to Cut & Run. What about you is there that is Conservative??

First: to use my exact words, I said "yes" to your question of "Are you glad Palin kept her Downs baby?" And then, I said: "But that was her decision to make." So, tell me, what do you mean by "keep"? Because I was thinking about adoption at the time.

Second: how am I a plant simply because I skipped out on Saddleback? Perhaps I did not particularly feel like listening to two liberal Senators open their mouths in front of Rick Warren? And since when is watching Saddleback a pre-requisite for being a conservative and being a Freeper? What about other Freepers who skipped out on Saddleback because they were busy with other things in their lives? Are they also "plants" from the "DNC," as you have alleged that I am?

Third: I have never defended Kerry. I did, however, question your logic (and that of other Freepers) who have told me that I am not allowed to even question McCain's Senate record because of his POW status, as if he were some special, privileged civilian with an automatic "Get Out of Jail Free" card. And, according to that sort of logic, which you adopted, in order for you to remain consistent, you would have to defend Kerry too. And don't give me the excuse that he is a fraud; while that probably is true, the official records as publicly released show otherwise.

Fourth: I have never said I wanted to "cut and run." Cutting and running means that during a state of war, one gives up and runs away or surrenders to the opponent side. But, as you yourself have said, we have won. So, how exactly am I advocating "cutting and running," as you allege, unless we are still technically in a state of war with the sovereign state of Iraq? Or, perhaps, what you really want, and as your words have betrayed your own intent, is to establish permanent bases of U.S. troops in Iraq, even in times of peace.

As for your profile page, there are all sorts of things wrong with it...too many to name. But, the sense I get out of it is that you would have the American Republic morph into an Empire in order to ensure that "democracy" is forced on every other country in the world. I'm sorry, but that is their choice to make; just like the U.S. had its own choices to make over two hundred years ago.

But hey, there is nothing I can say that will make you believe that I am a conservative. You have brayed to yourself that I am a liberal, the worst of them all, so much that you actually believe your own false statements.

Oh, and by the way, while you were busy attacking me, calling me names, and making false allegations about me, you failed to answer any of the questions I had for you in post 1110.

So, let's repeat them, shall we?

  1. Do you favor amnesty for tens of millions of illegals?

  2. Do you favor giving up a portion of your paycheck to bail out executives with multi-million dollar salaries at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, General Motors, and other private enterprises?

  3. Do you believe that your children should pay for the trillions of dollars in current U.S. liabilities, including off-balance sheet items?

  4. And do you believe in "living wages" or implementing mandatory energy rationing (carbon cap-and-trade)?

  5. What about subjugating ourself to the United Nations? or the World Court?

Your only response was: "Ass for your immigration bait, not taking it since it isn't as devisive as you'd like."

That's funny; not all of my questions related to immigration.

Your direct failure to answer them, while simultaneously needlessly and maliciously harassing me about my conservative credentials, is very telling.

Your silence is extremely telling, buster!

So, let's try this: if you think you're so conservative, I dare you to answer those questions. And if the silence continues, I may very well be tempted to assume that you're just nothing more than another whining, cowardly Bushbot with the attitude that "I'm right, you're wrong, screw logic and facts, because I'm right, and you're wrong!"

To repeat your words, verbatim: "Come on mr conservative, lets talk issues."

So, come on, bray, let's talk issues! And by that, it's gonna be a two-way street in which you answer questions too.

But, the sense I get out of it is that you would have the American Republic morph into an Empire in order to ensure that "democracy" is forced on every other country in the world.

If that isn't right out of the DNC talking points, what is? How do you FORCE democracy on anyone? It is the only system that people have freedom. You are completely delusional as well as insulting to our troops. They are not occupying anybody, they are giving 25 million their FREEDOM. Iraq has a more open form of democracy than we do as well as a more open congress.

You and the DNC would prefer that Saddamn be left in place and his people enslaved soas not to get your hands dirty. Nice little utopia you guys live in.

You guys think your so smart that your rambling always give yourselves away. What form of gummit do you prefer, as if I have to ask. Nice job seminar poster, we've seen better.

Ass you leave, I have been standing against the naysayers for 5 years during the worst times of the war. You will even degrade it and our troops even after the victory has been won. You must be so proud. Now get lost!

Why do you continue to post baseless assertions about freepers?

Apparently bray can't tell the difference between the Republican Party and the Democrat Party, but then again, these days, I will admit, it is getting hard to tell the difference between the two.

Vote Republicrat, because otherwise you're hurting God's children.

Before you make kneejerk comments you may want to look at post 1127.

*shrugs, yawns* You have likewise attempted to demean me, and bend my words as well.

You have always be a Republican cheerleader here, and a warhawk with little attention (in fact, sometimes outright derision) to the other pillars of Conservatism in comparison.

For those of us that understand that Reagan Conservatism is the union of all three pillars of Conservatism, served equally, yours is a message of division and spitefulness, and you serve to undermine Conservatism in favor of Republicanism and service to your own pillar of preference.

I will gladly rise to rabscuttle's defense. He has been unerring and outspoken, and certainly Conservative- with singular independence, intellectual argument, with the tenacity of a pitbull, and with the heart of a lion- all traits that were once valued in this thing we call a FReeper.

That he has all this in his youth is to his credit, a rare and precious thing. That you would stifle him is unconscionable, that you slander him, a crime.

...you failed to answer any of the questions I had for you in post 1110.

Considering that I posted these questions at 1:46 pm, you replied to another post of mine at 1:59 pm, and you even went on to reply to other Freepers at 5:55 pm and 6:28 pm, I'm going to conclude that you have neither the courage nor the ability to truthfully answer simple yes-and-no questions.

You have no problem making false allegations and openly libeling me, yet you are too scared to answer simple yes-and-no questions.

Your continued silence is beyond telling. It speaks volumes.

And, given your profile, which includes such choice gems of phrases as "George Bush is a visionary that sees the World as it can be, not as it is" and "As this Wildfire spreads throughout the World, despots cower in fear as they wait for their ultimate demise at the hands of God’s servant leader, the Freedom President George W Bush."

I just want to remind you that the purpose of the United States Government is not to conduct social engineering experiments—here or abroad—and the sorts of things that you advocate, despite the fact that they may have good outcomes, do not justify the means (e.g. ignoring the Constitution, unprovoked wars, and permanent occupations of other countries).

The purpose of the United States Government is to protect the citizen's right to life, liberty, and property; to provide for a common defense (not offense) against foreign and domestic enemies; to resolve disputes between the States and citizens thereof; to regulate money; and to maintain a set of standards of weights and measures.

All of these responsibilities are explicitly delineated in the Constitution, which curiously does not all contain a provision for ensuring democracy in other countries (though it does contain a clause in which "a republican form of government" is guaranteed for each state, something that Juan McCain's amnesty bill would completely quash).

But hey, McCain's amnesty makes life easier for some of "God's children"...so it must be good, right?

You don’t have any questions worth answering. Here’s a question, what is the temp at DNC HQ??

This war was a continuation of Iraq I not American imperialism and your buddy Saddamn made a bad gamble. It was that last time he bluffed President George W Bush. Now he’s dead. You do think the world is safer w/o Saddamn and his sons, don’t you? Oh yeah, WMD/Exit in 16 mos or whatever your side’s latest talking point is.

The gummit has protected us, when was the last attack on an American property in the last 8 years? Its easy to complain rather than do what needed to be done. But hey, pacifists like yourself can just wash your hands and pretend terrorists don’t want to kill you.

Leaders like President Bush thankfully ignore small people’s rantings and kill those terrorists and eliminate bloodthirsty dictators. If you’ve talked to Iraqis you would know they are thankful we gave them freedom. Keep on moaning. Outside of your little “club” nobody is buying what your selling.

Pray for W, Mav/Palin and Our Troops
