(oops... missed the ping earlier)
You are right. This has not been mentioned but I would guess everyone here knows that.
As an aside, I really ticked off a Democrat, telling him Todd Palin would kick his a$$. Being a country-boy from Kansas, he did not take that very well.
Who would have thought that the up and coming new face of the Conservative wing of the Republican party would wear makeup and eye liner???
Ironically, Bill Clinton explained this one right.
Paraphrased: People have a choice of voting for someone who they agree with 90-100% of the time and getting zero results versus voting for someone we agree with 50-60% of the time but getting 80% of what we want.
I encourage you to read IBD’s or WSJ’s articles about Gov.Palin’s history. I am not going to look for those links right now. When you read them, you will probably get the impression that Ms.Palin is not going to be a doormat for anybody in DC, and that Barracuda was a well earned nickname for a woman that John McCain just said (in the People Magazine interview) “The most impressive thing about her is her courage.”
I've been fighting with people left and right over this election, as recently as a few days ago. We have asked McCain to do something for the conservatives, and he has. He has given us one of the finest vice presidential choices in memory, and the McCain people have run a sharp and admirable campaign. They deserve our support.
I'm still disturbed about his global warming stance and open borders. Very much so. But one of my chief arguments against McCain was that he would betray us on judges. He didn't betray us on this very important choice for vice president, so I'm ready to give him the benefit of the doubt and join my fellow Freepers in this cause. If a diehard like me can do it, hopefully some others with similar doubts and opposition to McCain can do so too.
If you really dissect her political career she has bucked the political establishment at every turn. Her career path is absolutely with McCain’s “Maverick” persona.
Wow really impressive,great post.
WOW, musicman! I clicked on your link to that hillery-rotten site and they were freaking me out. Identity politics LIVES!!
Oh well, if they help us to keep that obamanation out of the WH, I will feel that I owe them for their part in it.
That was some thread wasn’t it Fuddy!! I read about 100 posts or so and I was really surprised that they threw obummah under the bus as often as they did.
LOL!
Re: Guv Blanco.
Remember how Brit Hume used to love to call her BLANK-oh. Sometimes it seemed like he would hever say the “oh” part. Made me laugh every time he did it.
ooohhh, do YOU have high hopes. geeez
I like it! Good for you.
You nailed it. Anybody who doesn’t realize he is a DNC plant is living on the planet algore. Wonder what happened in the last week to get him so distraught.....hmmmm??
Pray for W, Mav/Palin and Our Troops
FRE = Freddie Mac
FNM = Fannie Mae
GM = if you don’t know GM (the automaker) you need to get our more often
How about we all just stop all this.
I think we cannot force others to agree with our postions on this issue than we can hold back the tide.
Suffice to say that McCain has been called a RINO, that we all agree on. Those who dislike him in the extreme are just one end of the spectrum here on FR but it is a postion shared by many here.
I was dismayed about the Living Wage bs McCain said this morning.
Still, for all this, I will vote McCain/Palin in November. That is my perogative but I do understand those who cannot. I think they’re wrong, but I do see the point they make.
But after the election, should McCain/Palin win, I will fight any and all socialistic policies coming from a McCain White House with as much vigor as I would an Obama policy.
I wish it wasn’t this way. Us patriots (and I mean ALL of us here on this thread today) never get any rest.
HEAR HEAR!!!
If you're going to talk about me, please try and be polite and ping me instead of stabbing me in the back like McCain does to conservatives.
