Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
Amazing how Tim Russert’s death was a national event yet the death of a former White House employee and conservative poliitcal pundit automatically calls for scorn and contempt. Unbelievable.
I would hope so!
You’ve had “Pray for Snow” as your tagline for as long as I can remember. I feel bad for those grandkids he wanted to bounce on his knee. They’ll never know what an awesome grandpa they missed. =(
There are no words to describe how I am feeling, except to say, “God Bless you, Tony...and your family. Thank you for all you have done.”
My heart is aching.
I think he qualifies for that honor:
Tony Snow
Since Apr 23, 1998
Thanks for that, LUV W.
Now I’ve lost it again.
We will miss Tony Snow.
Prayers for his family,
“I know just what Tony would be telling us right now.
Yes, the tears will come, but after the tears remember me with laughter and smiles.”
...and we will
Tony Wins
Just seeing him there looking so dapper and fit hurts! He will always be a winner in our hearts! (If anyone else has posted this, I apologize...I haven't been able to get through the thread for the tears.)
This an awful thing to wake up to on a Saturday..RIP Tony
May the Lord Jesus comfort the family and give repose to his soul.
I+second+that.+
I am just so sad. Fox is going with Bulls and Bears. I never watch that. I’ll check back later with Fox. I want more Tony! :(
Thank you for responding....Oh, I had forgotton that Cardinal OConnor had fought cancer also, but isn’t it good that Tony could learn how to go through that fight from the life of another good one who had gone before?
Yes, know Tony Snow had a close walk with the Lord Jesus - that was evident in his life and in his words and in his demeanor.
I wish I could link to that CNN replay of that emotional news conference in which Tony was really having difficulty speaking - called it his “Walter Mondale” moment.
But it was on their newscast, not on their website.
Maybe others have that link.
My question also was whether or not others heard Tony speak of the bout with cancer bringing him especially closer to God. In the news conference, he seemed to indicate that it had done so - because he said he was GRATEFUL that this had happened to him. (Implying that without such a life threatening illness hitting him and his family, he would not have found the close relationship with God which so evidently brought him great joy, comfort, and strength.)
Just had not seen/heard that press conference before.
Praise God for Tony Snow’s life and for the truth that even in trials and tragedy, and sometimes - ESPECIALLY because of these hardships, God brings us close to His heart and carries us all the way home to be with Him forever!
I’m joining you in tears with this horrible news. I thought he was on the mend so this comes as a real surprise. Prayers for his family.
He was supposed to be here next month...as per this last post to me.....
Tony Snow to LUV W
Luv,
Ill be in Midland later in the year; I forget the date. Stay tuned...
Journalism has lost a good man.
My sympathies and condolences to his family and loved ones.
May he rest in peace knowing he fought the good fight and stood for what was right.
