Thank you for responding....Oh, I had forgotton that Cardinal OConnor had fought cancer also, but isn’t it good that Tony could learn how to go through that fight from the life of another good one who had gone before?

Yes, know Tony Snow had a close walk with the Lord Jesus - that was evident in his life and in his words and in his demeanor.

I wish I could link to that CNN replay of that emotional news conference in which Tony was really having difficulty speaking - called it his “Walter Mondale” moment.

But it was on their newscast, not on their website.

Maybe others have that link.

My question also was whether or not others heard Tony speak of the bout with cancer bringing him especially closer to God. In the news conference, he seemed to indicate that it had done so - because he said he was GRATEFUL that this had happened to him. (Implying that without such a life threatening illness hitting him and his family, he would not have found the close relationship with God which so evidently brought him great joy, comfort, and strength.)

Just had not seen/heard that press conference before.

Praise God for Tony Snow’s life and for the truth that even in trials and tragedy, and sometimes - ESPECIALLY because of these hardships, God brings us close to His heart and carries us all the way home to be with Him forever!
