Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
You’re welcome, Primetimedonna!
You’re welcome, Primetimedonna!
You’re welcome, Primetimedonna!
Yes it is a good idea - been trying it out - it’s fun and adds surprising blessings to each day.
Now that makes sense. I was wondering why an Episcopal Church, but then thought that it might be a memorial service instead of the funeral.
“I was with her when she died and a day doesnt go by I dont think of her”
Ditto.
My father left a huge legacy behind, and in fact, had a court building named after him on Friday. I could not be prouder(but still miss the heck out of him).
I am sorry for your loss, too.
save, at least one good thing about the announcement that the service would be at an Episcopal Church, those nuts from Westboro will be protesting at the wrong church.
[Very loud laughing]
you have freep mail.
You’re welcome.
We miss you too, Cowgirl.
How wonderful a court building is being named after your dad! Very impressive - how proud you must be. My dad passed away in 2002 and my heart still aches for him daily. As the baby in the family, and being a girl, I had a very special bond with him. I miss his advice, wisdom and support. BTW, he was a “Pete” as well.
Do you know if there will be a memorial service and would it be televised on Fox?
Love your comments. Yes, was reading just today, our Lord Jesus’ own words of comfort to His own....
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. “
What a Savior! Hallelujah, that Tony Snow knew HIM, belonged to HIM and is with Him in that special place prepared especially for Him by His Lord Jesus Christ.
I lost an uncle last week and attended his funeral service yesterday. My joy is in knowing that my uncle also knew the Lord Jesus, Who died for him and for Tony Snow and for all, and that in receiving the great salvation given for us by our precious Savior, he and Tony and all who are His who have gone on before us - are now even at this moment in their “mansion” with their Savior and with all those who left this life behind to enter LIFE eternal.
We mourn - but not as those who have no hope.....our hope is in the risen, returning, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and in all of His promises which are yea and Amen in Him!
kristinn, do you know if there will be a televised memorial service for Tony?
That was obviously inaccurate info ..
and I was confused as well. Who knows,
plans may have changed after this was
revealed.

The Shrine is magnificent ... God be with
Tony’s precious family.
I don’t know. Haven’t seen any announcements on TV coverage.
I hope that the protesters stay at the old church :o
... ;) and I hope Secret Service, Patriot Guard, FReepers and God-fearing, flag-loving American patriots form an impenetrable hedge of protection around the facility and family. God save us from this evil.
Saluting Tony Snow — service, address
The White House announced today that President Bush will attend Tony Snow’s funeral service, which will held be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Catholic University in Washington, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Tony’s successor, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, began her morning gaggle by saying: Welcome back from what was a very sad weekend for all of us in the room — many of us who worked with Tony, both here in this room, but also I’m sure people who didn’t have the opportunity to be here when he was the press secretary here, knew him from his days on the radio and on television. We greatly appreciate your support and the prayers for Jill and the entire Snow family. She does really appreciate it. There’s a lot of love in this room for him and for the family. So we thank you. As the President said yesterday, Tony Snow was a great friend to everybody at the White House and I know he touched all of our lives.
SO many readers were touched by Tony Snows humility, humor and resilience. The White House Correspondents’ Association has graciously agreed to field written messages for the Snow family (thank you, Julie Whiston and President Ann Compton):
