Freedom and the View From Obamaland
American Spectator ^ | 01 july 08 | Jeffrey Lord

Posted on 07/01/2008 3:52:38 AM PDT by rellimpank

Pull back for a moment from the day-to-day and see the pattern.

Talk radio. Oil. Guns. Global warming. Smoking.

On the surface this is a seemingly unconnected laundry list of issues, their connection one to another tangential at best. Or is it?

In the increasingly disturbing view we are all getting of the messianic world that is Obamaland, these subjects in fact have a chilling commonality.

* Talk Radio: Think back for a moment to that threatening letter sent earlier this year to Rush Limbaugh's business partners at Clear Channel Communications by Senator Harry Reid, the Democrats' Senate leader. It was signed by all Senate Democrats, prominently including Barack Obama.

From start to finish, Mr. Lord’s analysis and endpoint are superb. And true.

“In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labor, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labor, has vanished; after labor has become not only a means of life but life’s prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-around development of the individual, and all the springs of co-operative wealth flow more abundantly — only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!”

This is truly an excellent article - I’ve read about three great articles on FR this morning, so the day’s getting off to a wonderful start!

I was talking with some friends last night and one of them, who works in a college and who’s conservative by inclination but hates reading about politics or economics, said that everybody she worked with at the school was talking about the “ban on SUVs.” She thought it had already happened and was a done deal. I can’t imagine how this got out so fast and got accepted so quickly (particularly considering that it hasn’t happened or even been seriously proposed yet). But obviously, there are a lot of people - quite well educated people - out there who are already primed to accept major government interference in their lives and even seem to regard it as a good thing.

My friend was concerned because she was wondering what large families would drive if SUVs were “banned,” but as someone else said, she shouldn’t worry because the government would make sure there weren’t any more large families, either.

Excellent article. Lays out the problems with Obama's leftwing fascism very clearly.

It's amazing how many people could read that and not be afraid. Some people love the feel of a boot on their neck, I guess.

Evidently Google is blocking American Spectator. I get “reported attack site” when I try to go to the link. The only way to actually see the article is to click on “ignore this warning.”

We are having the same morning in re good articles!

I think new age math is at work here: high prices for gas; SUV's low milleage, mumbles from Dems/BO re bad, bad "suvs". New age math. This is how it calculates itself via liberal netroots, and is perceived, subtly, by the masses.

The media is going to sell Obama if he gets to the nomination uncontested. However there is a clear direct legal basis on which to remove Obama as a threat which is difficult to implement but certain to be effective if we can get united to pursue it.

Obama was born in Kenya. Thus he is not qualified to be President under Article II, Sec. 1, Par. 4 of the United States Constitution.

In fact, absent a naturalization proceeding sometime earlier in his life which would conclusively resolve the qualification to be President issue against him (because one of the conditions of filing one is that he is not a "natural born" citizen), he is not a citizen of the United States at all.

Jeff Lord nails it again! He is a great writer and very perceptive. I've emailed this article to a bunch of undecided voters I know today.

Despite his ostentatious recent attempts to tack to the center, there have been far too many slips in this campaign when we have seen the true nature of Barack Obama and his brownshirt army. Hillary may have said the exact words "we are going to take things away from you for the common good" but Obama really means it.

Is there any documentation on this.

If so thanks.

Obama was born in Kenya.

>>>Proof?

Yes there is proof. A birth certificate from Mombasa. The same Mombasa that Danny Pearl wrote about before he was killed.

As to when the proof will be available for our eyes, don't know. But, pick a source of your choosing:

Google Search: Obama birth certificate Mombasa

That isn’t proof, that is a rumor. Proof is a physical document that would put this whole thing to bed.
