Who's going to pay for it?

Even Winchester white box at WallyWorld is priced out of sight. If that isn't bad enough, patched round balls propelled by Swiss black powder are as high as 60¢ per shot for a .54 cal percussion rifle.

Who's going to pay the $100 for pistol ammo or the $50 for a little black powder practice on Saturday morning at the range? Will only the wealthy or government agents be able to afford arms?

What's driving up the price of ammo? #1 -The militarization of local police after the LA shoot out. Biggest customer at any WallyWorld, ammunition display: local police officers on their way to the range.

Just listen to hear whether or not people are shooting their guns off in the street, sometime around 10:15. ;-)

My prediction: Individual rights, yes. “Reasonable” government control, yes. This way they can appease both sides.

Exactly! After this decision, the next 70 years will be filled with both sides tying up the courts asking "reasonable" to be specifically defined. Each and every law that is on the books in each and every city will have to be challenged in court to get it either upheld or vacated. We'll go through this over and over and over with the ACLU and is democrat backers.

Whether Scalia or Ginsburg write the opinion, they're still writing a CONTROLLING opinion on our basic rights. Good or bad outcome, it's a sad day.

Exactly! SCOTUS decisions have begun to override law. After today, 2A is not the last word, the Court's decision is. On whatever the Court opines, it's the Court that prevails now, not the Constitution.

Congratulations! Now that we know the size of the opposition, we will need to find a place to bury them.

CORRECTION: I looked at the LP (Libertarians) and discovered they support open abortion.

I was still pro-choice when I went to the local LP meeting and found out that no matter what they say to outsiders, when it was "just us chickens," it really was all about the drugs. I spent three hours listening to the county Libertarians, and the head of the state party, talk about what they could do to get them legalized. I don't consider it wasted time, though - I learned better than to ever waste another minute or nickel on them.

The hopeful logic being that he had heard through the legal grapevine (clerks) which case materials were being reviewed by which judges, and concluded that things were not going in favor of his argument before SCOTUS.

From what I recall this was not widely reported, in fact only one obscure law journal reported the resignation at the time it happened.

Of course it could also mean he got a great job offer from some DC firm based on his brilliant argument before SCOTUS.

Just a rumor.

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that. Waiting for my God-given rights to be affirmed or denied by nine humans in black robes is not good for my attitude.

I’m hoping for something that affirms the 2nd as a fundamental human right, but right now I’m thinking the Supremes may just chicken out, rule extremely narrowly, and punt the issue for another year

Individual rights, yes. “Reasonable” government control, yes.

Logical inconsistency aside, will SCOTUS support the gun ban in DC? Who decides what is "reasonable?"

Its not really the fault of the USSC, though. Its the fault of the retards in DC who enacted this law, as well as the morons who have enacted other various gun control laws at all levels of government.

The USSC is (potentially) protecting us from these fools.

The most recent rulings handed us from SCOTUS pretty much tell us just how politicized the Supremes are.

I was angry at the Kennedy wording in his majority statement yesterday regarding our Society. “evolving” “maturing society”. That really pissed me off as it was a reflection of the statements made a couple of years ago by Ginsburg and somebody else on the Left within the Supremes about how we must incorporate International laws into our own. “H” one can find many laws within ours based upon the laws of other lands, but the inference was we must begin to. I took it as a denigration of our Society. The most productive and Free Society in the World. “Maturing Society” possibly meant in his mind something else, but his choice of wording in describing our society was demeaning, and Euro-snobbish Liberalism IMO.

I for one am on pins and needles so-to-speak until this is resolved. I’m going to throw a “Liberal” (as in typical childish Liberal tantrum as often seen when they don’t get their way.) if the ruling is either against the 2nd Amendment right to possess, or if it doesn’t resolve the issue once and for all.
