Vanity: Tipping Point Against McCain
06/11/208 | C19fan

Posted on 06/11/2008 3:59:13 PM PDT by C19fan

I was going to put on the gas mask and pull the lever for McCain this November but events of the past few days have led me not to vote for him.

1: McCain speaking at the racist, reconquista La Raza conference. 2: McCain still opposed to drilling in ANWR and comparing it to drilling in the Grand Canyon despite $4 + and climbing gas prices. Accoring to NRO Corner when asked about this he seemed peeved someone would have the audacity to ask him that question. 3: McCain giving veto power to coastal states on offshore drilling. The US owns these waters not the states. 4: McCain seemingly on board supporting windfall profits taxes and making a fascist statement that the government has the right to tell oil companies how they should invest in their money.

To be totally honest I live in CA where Obama is going to crush McCain but this will be the first time I do not vote for the GOP candidate for POTUS.

That’s why Obama is your man. Because thinking is hard.

I’m not pleased with McCain either but I think an Obama Presidency is utter doom.

Fine with me as long as I don’t encourage the leftward swing of the grand old plantation.

I am gonna hold my nose also.

Better to do my part to neutralize a vote for Obama, than to stand idly by and watch the black racists rise to power.

Just imagine what plans this guy has in store for our taxpayer dollars:

McCain for all of his flaws, has remained steady on the War in Iraq, to the point of screaming for a Surge, he was consistent on that for 2 years all the while Rumsfled and others were dead wrong on the need for more men in Iraq.

The “Surge” was named the McCain Surge for a reason, no other Republican wanted it to happen but him, time has proven him right on his insistence that it take place, he has staked his Candidacy on it.

The Obamao on the other hand has made it clear, if he wins, we lose in Iraq, and that is the bottom line of all of this typing.

And “yes” I do agree, the way to win is to convince the other poor dumb bastard that he has lost, and there is no other point in continuing the fight.

We never achieved that in Iraq, for better or worse, the Rumsfled plan, and the Bremer Admin never allowed such overwhelming force to be applied, quite simply, it never was planned into the “metric”.

Pardon me for jumping in here. In my opinion the troops have already accomplished thier mission with bravery. We did what we set out to do. Saddam is gone, no WMD’s, a Iraqi government is in place.

I thought that was a win. I remember Bush saying that we would not occupy Iraq. We cannot make the Iraquis think and operate just like us. What is winning? Will we ever “win”? When does winning become occupation? The Iraquis have been given a way to freedom. It is up to them to keep it.

Hmmm? Sounds like we need to spend some time keeping it here at home.

Frankly, I quite agreed with your post.

Tancredo, Hunter, and Thompson have all endorsed McCain.

Yes, but they are stable adults who love their country more than they do their party.

At least if we elect Obama the sea will stop rising. He promised!
By this November the whole country will be chanting in unison “Beam me up, Scotty!”

Exactly. I will be voting against Obama and that means not staying home to protest or voting for the idiot Barr. No Obama.

Barr is no idiot. I would take him over either of the mainstream candidates in a heart beat.

As you were saying... Here's a taste of Obama to come from observing his twin in action:

Mass Governor will install radical lesbian activist as family court judge.

Maureen Monks, about to become the newest judge of the Middlesex Probate and Family Court, is a long-time radical lesbian activist attorney. She specializes in "gay" family issues. Last week, when her nomination hit some rocky waters getting through the Governor's Council, Governor Deval Patrick simply ignored their official vote and announced he will swear her in. Monks' nomination - and the governor's action -- was strongly supported by both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald on their editorial pages.

Barr is no idiot.

He sure is. He claims Iran is not building a nuke and we should not be worried about them. THAT'S SERIOUS BRAIN DAMAGE!

Welcome to the club.

This will be the first time I have not voted in a national election since 1964 and with the exception of voting for Lyndon Johsnon (okay, I was young, dumb and in the Air Force) I have voted for Republicans every single time--though I consider myself a Conservative Patriot and NOT a Pubbie.

McLame lost all of the respect I had for him as a POW when he and his good bud John "The Snake" Kerry, buried the POW/MIA evidence during the hearings and mistreated the witnesses (mostly family members) in order to help push for normalization with that Godless, Communist, Vietnam.

And don't even get me started about how he maligned and impugned the Swift Boat Vets as well as all the rest of us Nam Vets because I'll have to take another blood pressure pill or have a couple of shots of VO.
