Because his name is Barack Hussein Obama. If his birth name is Barry Dunham on the certificate, he changed it for some reason, what is that reason? If not, America will know his name is Hussein.

It is a simple matter to sue for release since knowing if he is a natural born US citizen is of interest to ALL US citizens.

If his mother was a US citizen, then it is likely there will not be an issue. Though the laws back in the 60s were changing in this regard and had their finer points. But, if he can show that his US citizen mother had him in Hawaii (which is perhaps a point of contention) then it will not matter.

Despite all of this, his associations and positions should have nix'ed the man long ago. But it has not. That is because his ardent followers (which include the MSM and powerful politicians and lobbiests) are not swayed be logic, reason, or truth in any case. To them, regardless of his positions, his gaffes, his birth place, his past, or his associations, he is an idol.

Nothing you can say or do will convince these people otherwise...

You have other tens of millions on the dole who will vote for him regardless of position because he promises to keep pilfering the public largess for them.

Still othes of millions will vote for him simply because he is black.

Other millions will vote for him because they know exactly who he is and what he represents and agree with his anti-American positions.

The first three are all what is termed, useful idiots, a term coined by Lenin for the dupes he got to support him.

Against this it is left to us to educate, arouse, and amass the tens of millions of Americans who understand and hold fast to the foundational principles our constitutional republic rests upon...many of them the bitter, rural Americans clinging to their guns and religion that Obama so arrogantly spoke of.

Finally, with all of this in mind, note this comparison:

A populsitic, charismatic, self-serving individual has a way of mesmerizing foolish people looking for an idol...then and now.

Barack Hussein Obama is the apex of the hate-America, domestic enemy in this country. His election as president would be the greatest coup any enemy has ever scored against this country and could easily lead to the worst, horrific disaster in our nation's history.

This leads to an interesting series of questions. As age and citizenship are both constitutional requirements to become president it is not unreasonable to ask a candidate to prove their age or citizenship through a birth certificate or passport. It is not necessary for such documentation to be placed in the public domain where everyone has access to it, but to whom must they supply this proof? I am making the assumption that such proof was required in the applications to get the candidates name on the ballots in each state. Is that wrong?

That's not the criteria. It is being natural born, that is if at the time of birth he was entitled to US citizenship. Having an American mother, he was. McCain wasn't born in the US either.

I read people discussing this here at FR the other day... I would assume that the State Dept. has a copy - not that the liberals IN the State Dept. would tell us if there was a problem with his eligibility. After all, that wouldn’t go along with their liberal mindset, would it?

It would be very interesting to see a copy of Obama’s birth certificate - as it could put to rest some of the rumors that have been “dogging” him (i.e. if he has a 2nd middle name, if his father is listed on the birth certificate, etc... etc..).

I personally don’t see why his campaign wouldn’t release a copy to the media as it would save them a lot trouble regarding coming up with defensive rhetoric. The fact that they have not done this already leaves some very definite questions in the minds of the curious - like me. ;-)

It is a technicality...and one clearly Obama would argue against and probably take all the way to the USSC.
