Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas

In this election we have very a clear choice to make.

A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.

A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.

A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.

A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.

A choice between small government or big government.

A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.

Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.

God Bless America and our brave troops.

Dave, I look at Herbert Hoover (McCain). He was no conservative like Harding/Coolidge. He was a miniFDR. But the damage he did to Republicans went far, far beyond just losing the presidency. We were slipping into a depression anyway, and while I think the right policies could have greatly minimized the economic damage nationally. At any rate, the result was that all Republicans were tarred with the “Great Depression” for 40 years. I’m afraid Herbert Hoover McCain will do that to us-—while the alternative is that Obama might be Hoover for the Dems. He WILL have the wrong policies, but because we aren’t quite in crisis yet, he will get the blame with the floor drops out.

...regardless of who is President, I'll continue to grow financially, professionally, spiritually and artistically over the next 8 years.

Well said!

Thanks, GP!

I look forward to seeing The Obamasiah flushed down to
where his other friends Ayers, Wright, Pfleger et al
are, too!

“Bye-bye, Obomber!”

Agreed.

I do not comprehend the thinking that would hand the reins of this country to a marxist.

Why do you put the word terrorism in quotes?

Every conservative who vows never to vote for Mccain is helping to ensure that a pro-terrorist Marxist who is demonstrably insane will be POTUS.

What about we conservatives that cry out, "Earn my vote!"?

What about the conservatives that haven't said that they will "never" vote for John McCain but have said, "I will not vote for the lesser of two evils again. I will vote FOR someone, not AGAINST someone."?

What about the conservatives that have said, "If past actions are any indicator of future actions, John McCain will continue his fall into liberal he!!."?

What about Missouri conservatives that shout, "SHOW ME!"?

If John McCain was even to the right of center he might get a different viewing.

I haven't made up my mind whether or not I'll vote for John McCain but I am leaning toward no strictly on his actions of the past decade.

Why do you put the word terrorism in quotes?

Because it's the most overused booogeyman phrase of this decade, and its overuse takes away from the seriousness that real terrorism actually is. When the government started the whole "if you buy marijuana you are supporting terrorism" I decided to tune out any terrorism argument. My chances of being killed by a terrorist are tiny and if I do, well, I'm OK with Jesus, so be it.

You honestly think that Hillary is more palatable than Obama

Yes, that is what I'm saying. She is not even in the left field ballpark as Obama is. And I hate Hillary with the force of a thousand suns, but we'd know what a Hillary administration would look like and we know the players. Obama? Who knows?

Hopefully someone will start asking him about reparations for actions others did, not us.

Je$$ie HyJack$on and other Black Raci$ts can’t wait to get into our retirement plans, 401 ks and IRAS.

I can see them taking 10% a year from our plans for reparations to start with. That 10% would be 10% of what is in the accounts at the end of each year, regardless if we had gains or not. Of course they might even whack us 2-3% each quarter based on the amount at the end of each quarter and have the financial holders of our plans send electronic quarterly deposits to the Bureau of Reparations.

>Yes, that is what I'm saying

I, as well.
I am overjoyed that she has lost but concerned that she may end up on the ticket anyway.

The problem is that we also have a candidate who is fatally flawed.
No easy way out of this mess that I can see, short of a major catastrophic event.

Yes, that is what I'm saying.

Maybe it's a gender thing then. I'm personally thrilled Obama beat her and I don't have to listen to her anymore.

as someone else mentioned on this thread, he voted to confirm both.

As I said, he ended up voting to confirm all 4.

Ginsberg, Roberts, Alito, and Stevens.
and I see no reason to believe that the statement attributed to him is wrong at all.

He has never denied it, and it fits perfectly with all of his past actions and statements.

Next you will be telling me that he is really a low tax and small government guy after he voted no to both Bush tax cuts and supports the Lieberman Warner cap and trade theft.

After you tell us how strong he will be with terrorists after he closes GITMO, outlaws waterbording, and grants them the protections of the American Legal system

Voting for the little general was a mistake, a stupid mistake...but sitting home and allowing socialist Hussein Obmamamama to be our "leader" will not only be a mistake, it will be a form of treason.

Perot only messed up an election, obamamamama will mess up a country...us.

You won't vote for Johnny Mac because of the issues you listed, but you allow obamamamama to get in and you can magnify all those issues by 10, and add about 100 more things you aren't going to like at all.

But, since you are a self-proclaimed "un-stupid" one, I guess you know best. /s

Yes, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
Again, I hope that she doesn’t end up on the ticket.

That would make it hard to not start drinking. 8^)

Regan undid Carter’s mess regarding the military, interest rates, gas lines, inflation, unemployment so it can’t be too hard ... in any event better the Dem’s than the Republicans to blame.

I am writing in Baldwin of the Constitution party. I have to stand on my principles this time. No more voting the lesser of two evils. That is why we have what now looks more like a one party system.
