Howdy everyone! My new cutoffs are just the right length. No more skin on vinyl. The visit with the surgeon went well. Everything looks great! Also had a visit from the home nurse today. All my vitals are in normal ranges. Blood pressure, heart, lungs, all good, blood sugar at 96. The surgeon approved a request made by my physical therapist for more therapy, a new gel insert for a hospital bed, and a tryout for a new prosthesis.
I get a new leg!! Woo hoo!!
Thank you all again for your prayers and support! We are making headway!
God bless,
Jim
Oh Jim....I know I speak for everyone on this ping list...I am SO VERY happy to read this.
Thank you Lord, for all you’re doing in this man’s life. Thank you for his loving family. Thank you for giving Jim a new start in his life, in so many ways.
Your Name Be Praised!
Amen
Amen to that Gramma ... Amen.
Praise the Lord!
Your indomitable spirit is just amazing!
God give you what you need and let His will be done in
all things!
Prayers for continued healing.
Congrats on the new leg..
Mighty happy to see you posting again.
There was video of him on TV the other night pursuing a perp ON FOOT and catching him! Perp said the worst part was that he would lose all "respect" in his 'hood because he had been outrun by a one-legged Deputy!
Better days ahead!
Good to have you back sir...may all go well for you!
To Jim and Fresno Freepers
Jim, you will not get better until, during this Memorial weekend, a Freeper in Fresno barbecues hamburgers outside (we need more pollution of the solar system) and brings you a couple. A burger gives you everything you need to recover: meat protein, lettuce/tomato/onion/pickles veggies, mustard, and bun (make it whole wheat if you insist). No ketchup on burger - that is for fries. No Texan puts ketchup on a burger.
You will be instantly well after your burger. That fact must be in a medical journal somewhere, or maybe it’s in the Bible.
WOW JIM!
What a great way to end my day...thanking our Lord for your life, your health and a new leg!
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family!
We are thankful for you and for FR.

I am so glad I checked for a report tonight before turning in. You seem so pleased with your own progress that it must be very good.
JIM, It sounds wonderful to think of a replacement leg.
As you know I have only one “good “ foot so I can’t offer to be a donor. LOL Really now, they have done wonders in the development of these “bionic” limbs.
Maybe you will become our new 5 million dollar man! Headway indeed!
Awww...I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well.
I hope the antibiotics have kicked in.
Prayers for your TIAs...hopefully you don’t need them. though.
Prayers for you, and your family, too.
It’s so good to “see” you posting.
great news Jim.
most people say “baby steps” but it appears there are giant steps here.

Know this: You'll continue to be in my daily prayers until you fully recover. God bless you, Jim! Hang in there!
I am glad you had a good day. As the daughter of a physical therapist, I can say that the harder you work on that torture, the better your recovery will be. Hate them if you have to but follow their advice to the letter!
Hey, if you get a new leg, will it be the kind that’s now accepted for the Olympics? Just in time for August??? ;)
Thank you Lord Jesus!!!
BTTT
Great news Jim!
