2008 Election Prayer Thread for McCain/Conservatives: Day 1
April 20, 2008 | Vanity

Posted on 04/19/2008 10:30:29 PM PDT by topher

It is my opinion that we need to pray for our leaders this election.

Many Conservative are disappointed with the selection of Senator John S. McCain. But in one sense, he is the true conservative in values -- he has fought for campaign finance reform -- getting big money out of politics.

This should allow the little guy (or gal) more voice in what this country is doing.

In some religions, it is part of the church service to pray for the leaders of a country (Ukrainian Catholic, for example).

We must pray for our leaders and pray that the Congress that is elected in 2008 will serve our Judeo-Christian country and help restore traditional values.

We need to win back the HOUSE and SENATE.

Additionally, Senator John S. McCain may choose a Vice Presidental candidate that many conservatives will warm up to.

I have heard it once said: YOU GET WHAT YOU PRAY FOR.

Obviously, if we are not praying (and working) for the conservatives values this country needs for this election, then God will not help us.

We must be like the Old Widow who continually went to the Judge. Eventually, the Judge gave in the Old Widom because she continually asked the Judge to see her point of view.

I wasn’t clear. I didn’t mean the guys who are still there. I pray that God in His mercy took them home a long time ago.

I meant guys like Mark Smith. Maybe it’ll take McCain being the nominee for the media to bring some attention to the issue. The Democrats are gearing up for more hearings as we speak.

And let the chips fall where they may. I’m pretty sick of people who say they support the troops wanting these issues to go away because it might hurt thier candidate’s chances. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

Did you read the second link here?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2004239/posts?page=136#136

It says, as of the time he wrote that, 572 of them are still alive.

Excerpt:

A highly-decorated Army Special Forces officer, now retired and running a POW search network from Bangkok, tells us that the Vietnamese army is itching to release 572 Americans, now being held in Laos camps.

The Vietnamese military, according to Major Mark W. Smith, fears being held responsible for war crimes should it kill the men, as the Hanoi politburo is urging.

Vietnam knows the Clinton Administration is on the brink of restoring full trade and diplomatic relations.

The POWs, held for two decades as “bargaining chips” and “trophies of war”, are now being dumped into Laos, under the care of three Vietnamese divisions, which prop up the puppet government there.

What happened to these men????

A close Marine friend and I tried in the eighties to bring to light the 312 living POW’s we knew about then, but were thwarted every step by guys like Richard Armitage. Maybe we can ask McCain and Kissinger what they were doing about it back then.

The two most responsible for all of this are front runners to be CIC.

I’m moving to Laos if either assume office.

McCain???

Here:

The memo is about the 5 paragraph down. The hard copy of course is at aiipowmia.com

“A report by a high level Defense Intelligence Agency analyst, John F. McCreary, showed that John McCain was responsible for having the live sighting reports of our POWs/MIAs shredded.”

Did you see that Major Smith filed a lawsuit in an attempt to return these men home?

MARK A. SMITH, ET AL., PETITIONERS V. RONALD REAGAN, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, ET AL. No. 88-299

In The Supreme Court Of The United States October Term, 1988

On Petition For A Writ Of Certiorari To The United States Court Of Appeals For The Fourth Circuit Memorandum For The Respondents In Opposition Petitioners contend that the actions taken by respondents to determine the whereabouts of American servicemen missing in action in the Vietnam conflict do not constitute full compliance with 22 U.S.C. 1732, which is known as the "Hostage Act." /1/ They challenge the holdings of the court of appeals that their claims present nonjustifiable political questions and that the Hostage Act does not provide a private right of action.

What happened? John McCain got rich from lucrative beer distributorships and John Fn Kerry added to his fortune via exclusive construction rights in Vietnam.

And these 572 POWs? Out of sight, out of mind.
It is more than disturbing that one of the "Johns" was a presidential nominee in the last election and the other "John" is this years "presumptive" nominee.

The fact there are those who are trying to strong-arm me into voting for the "toilet running this year", makes me want to run to last elections "also ran toilet" and wretch!!!

What was the "running toilet" doing back then?
Why positioning himself to thwart ALL your efforts by joining his "good friend", the "also ran toilet" J Fn in the US CONgre$$ via the House of Representatives: January 3, 1983 – January 3, 1987.

After 4 short years in the House, he decided he could best betray his brothers-in-arms by joining the elitist debating club, aka the US SINate... January 3, 1987.

This POE traitor must NOT be elevated to the White House!

2008 Election Prayer Thread for McCain/Conservatives: Day 1

Do you want a prayer thread for mccain or Conservatives, as they are very different?

Having a prayer thread for the nation or the sitting President is one thing, but starting one for a loathsome candidate is quite another. The same goes for a day in the life of the President who gets no media coverage on his day to day activities.

I welcome references from the Bible and Torah on this thread...

Here you go:
"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you," Matt 7:6.

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them," Romans 16:17
