You have the right to remain silent. If you choose not to exercise that right you will be silenced.

We're from the government. We're here to help you.

You have the right to remain silent.

So much of a right, that we will take your cell phone. And then your rights will be even better, because you HAVE to remain silent.

I have no problem with the State of Texas going into that compound to stop abuse and explotation of those young children. I have one hell of a problem with taking away the ability for those mothers to communicate with anyone they desire to, unless those women have been charged with a crime.

Inside the very private polygamous ranch, "Monica," a member of the FLDS Yearning For
Zion community, near Eldorado,Texas, talks about how Texas officials will not allow her
to see her children
who were taken from the ranch last week with more than 400 other
children.

They did get their main leader so far, on this cult's practice of the child rape thing.

“Warren Jeffs, the sect’s prophet and spiritual leader at its longtime headquarters in the dusty, side-by-side towns of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz., was charged in 2005 and 2006 with forcing underage girls into marriages. He was convicted in September in Utah of being an accomplice to rape and is serving up to life in prison."

There’s an enormous potential in this case for witness intimidation, collaboration and conspiracy. I’m not sure about the legality of taking cellphones away from people who have not been accused of a crime, but I can understand exactly why they did it.

"Several of the women inside the shelters spoke by cell phone to the Deseret News on Saturday to describe the living conditions there. Children could be heard crying in the background of each conversation. The News published an article on Sunday, quoting the women who complained there was no privacy and that their children were getting sick."

It doesn't look good. Those domestic violence shelters (feminist brainwashing facilities) are awful places containing deferred convicts, often violent and the like. Children could catch some really nasty bugs in those places. But the women's studies graduates who run them live like queens.

[Occasionally had the duty in the past of transporting criminals to those places.]

Don’t let this distraught woman fool you. She’s only upset cause she’s gonna have to pick up the slack for the rest of the women. :)

Children could be heard crying in the background

How stupid as if that is anything meaningful. If children were in Disneyland they would be blubbering half the time over something...

The cell phone confiscation bothers me also. Has anyone else read this book:

http://www.epinions.com/content_407516253828

It's title is "Escape" and it was written by Carolyn Jessups. I picked it up in a bookstore one night while we were waiting for a child to come in from a late basketball game, and I nearly finished it while we were waiting.

I forgot to make clear that while the cell phone confiscation bothers me, this book might shed some light on the reasons law enforcement might have done it.

The heavy hand of the govt. Bare-knuckled mercies. No one should be surprised.
What these victims need, each and every one, is an advocate, a friend, a fellow human being; and time to decompress.
Instead they’re getting separated, relocated, redistributed, invasively examined, threatened, and stripped of their possessions.
Every woman should be reunited with her children and taken in by a foster family, and I don’t mean people on the govt payroll. Just leave them alone for about six months, let them adjust gradually to freedom and self-sovereignty.
Meanwhile, the men charged with, or accused of abuse should get restraining orders so they cannot contact or influence their alleged victims.
Guarantee the situations will be a whole lot clearer by Thanksgiving.
The govt should be doing nothing for the ones it calls victims, except advertising for foster families to step up and open their arms.

This is not going to end well.

The state will convict the child abusers but the ADULT women who were sincire in this are going to be able to shoot back with civil suits.

It is going to be interesting to see what was going on in the judges mind that allowed the phones to stay at the start and only now he woke up to take the phones.

SAN ANGELO — A Texas judge on Sunday ordered law enforcement officials to immediately confiscate all cell phones in the possession of FLDS women and children now housed in temporary quarters here. "I just called to say, hi. They are about to collect the phones, I think," one soft-spoken FLDS woman said during a telephone call to another member of the Fundamentalist LDS Church who was outside of the shelter. "I don't like what they're doing."

What part of due process did the judge cite for this bullsh*t order?

What on earth do they think the second least powerful governor in the nation could possibly do?

Besides re-mousse his hair, of course. He’s aces at that.

I supose if those with cell phones are under house arrest this is legal, but if not, why the stopping of free speech? If the “men” are giving orders and witness tampering then arrest them and send them to the pokey where they can’t do any more damage.
