If he acts as if the Wright controversy is behind him, it's over for Obama.
The latest polls reflecting Obama’s near-collapse should serve as a morality tale of John Edwards’s two Americas — the political obtuseness of the intellectual elite juxtaposed to the common sense of the working classes.
For some bizarre reason, Obama aimed his speech at winning praise from National Public Radio, the New York Times, and Harvard, and solidifying an already 90-percent solid African-American base — while apparently insulting the intelligence of everyone else

Maybe with Obama’s demise, right-leaning conservatives finally can focus on the real enemy: Hillary.
Blacks will vote for Obama simply because he is black. Obama could say that he is bringing slavery back and they would still vote for him, simply because he is black. No other reason. If whites were to actually say, that the only reason I am voting for “blank” is because he is white, we would be trashed as white racists. However, since we all know that blacks do not harbor racist feelings, and are simply being held down by whitey, then of course it is okay for them to vote for blacks simply because they are black.

VDH is a little wordy, but that’s the best take I’ve seen on Obama’s speech.
This is good news if true. Latest poll I heard reported on Easter Sunday was he had nearly pulled even with Hillery after sliding 18 points.

The Rat strategist on Fox and Friends this morning emphasized that the Wright business was over and the party was moving on. When challenged, she had a conniption.
I like the subtle implication that "everyone else" has intelligence, while the afore mentioned do not.

My husband played string bass Saturday night with a new band (for him) first time. We had never even gone to one of their performances before. At the end they led the venue in a rousing rendition of God Bless America. Of course, we were all just typical white people, well except fot he 100 year old birthday girl and she was probably a hard core racist.

ROTFL Well, the 4x4 lapel-button is a nice touch and that might help a teeny-tiny bit but he!! will freeze over long before Michelle quits wagging her finger and gets down off her high horse.

On the flip side, if the dhimmirats lose a small percentage of their black block vote, they’re completely screwed.
The democrats have figured out the one way in a million to lose what should have been a slam dunk democratic victory in November.
1) Incompetently structured their nominating rules/process such that two states’ (Florida/Michigan) delegates won’t even be seated in a situation where those states delegates could very well have made the difference between one candidate winning or losing.
2) Allow a black candidate to gain an insurmountable pledged delegate lead only to have a scandal become public late in the nominating process (for which the information has been widely available for many months, if not years). Now, it is too late to switch horses without causing a tremendous backlash- even though had this scandal broken at the beginning of the campaign Clinton would have won easily.
Again, the democrats have found the only way to lose this election. If Obama wins the nomination, he is unelectable because of Wright and the fact that he is no longer a winning candidate who happens to be black but now a “black” candidate a la Jesse Jackson. On the other hand, if Hillary steals the nomination, there will be blood in the streets.
Even if you were inclined to vote democrat, seems to me that if you are thinking person, the party’s handling of the nominating process alone would have to give you pause.

This Wright business is very very far from over. I would compare Obama to a guy up a tree during a major flood thinking everything is fine because he didn't drown during the flooding.
Tens of millions of Americans don't trust the liberals because of their antagonism towards religion. This Wright business crystallized that perception with regard to Obama.
If Barack and Michelle had simply sat down and thought things through he would have coasted to the nomination. Thankfully they didn't - now it's the humpty dumpty campaign and it's over!
Exactly. Obama has to have the votes of ‘typical white’ people. I don’t get his strategy dissing the electoral majority.
