What do you think? Suggestions, comments, complaints?
You must have a small monitor, mine is 19”, and after the keyword and browse thingies, the breaking news sidebar starts about the middle of the scroll
I never use those “popular keywords”, but I think the browse by forum thingie needs to stay at the top IMO
I also liked the keywords that were at the top middle too, which many didn't like
That search button is at the bottom of each thread, even this one
It’s a little changed, but will preform the function you spoke about.
I would like it at the top as it was before also
"ignore" button for certain posters
"edit" feature, five minutes to fix mistakes
"delete all" feature for old FReepmail
"search by sender" for FReepmail
Give back the old search feature as it was.
I've been good all year long, Santa.
Ok duh. Got it. Thanks for the help!
I totally agree... it's a disaster. I think the only people who like these changes are those who are computer programmers, engineers or those who enjoy tinkering with computers and computer software. I'm not in that camp...
I come to FR to relax, LEARN, keep up with FRiends and to take part in and/or coordinate activism, not to have to "work" at learning new, complicated and clunky computer stuff.
Sniping for post #666...
Thanks. It wasn’t working that way initially.
I typed my freeper name in the box, hit go......and it brought up three posts I made in 2007. I typed your name in it and got three posts of yours from 2002, 2005 and 2006.
I have no idea how to get to anyone's profile page, either.....and if I can't get there myself, I can't get to the Florida state chapter forum.
Do you know how unhappy and frustrated I am? Grrrrrr.
Leni
PS Spell Check needed for thread titles. Makes for great replies without.
I really can't say. I just click when it shows up red. :-)
John,
Wonderful.
Those of us who are activists/communicators are patiently waiting for the “sort by sender” function on email. But that’s a small nit to pick about a daily miracle in our lives that this forum provides. You and JimRob are doing the Lord’s work for our nation, completely unsung. But your treasures are amassing in heaven. God’s blessings on your work every moment of every day.
no more it “wasn’t me who ratted u out??” snitching available
goodie

I think it defaults to “articles”
More fun than a cruize, huh?
*ducking*
We'll need one after all of this!
LOL You’re KILLIN’ me! LOL
I don’t know if this has been said already, but is there any way that the “Comments” tab can be made as the default setting when refreshing a given page via a forum link (or the “Everything” link)? That is, when I click on “Everything” (or a particular forum), the page defaults to the “Articles” tab now. I’d prefer the “Comments” tab to be the default. Also, the links in the sidebars don’t open a separate browser window like they did before. I’d prefer they did.
Other than THAT, a great job! ;D
Quite a few claim to miss the SEARCH, but it has become clear lately that few actually use it and of those few most are not able to FIND previously posted threads. It’s useless and takes up space. Like an old retired guy.
Well I just set here in wonderment the undertaken John had to get so much to function and each poster page and other things.
I know John is still working on things and tweaking many request that are possible.
So it is in true admiration for this exciting project!
Also, you can get to anyone’s FR page by clicking on their name at the bottom of any post. It’s always worked like that.
To get to the FL State page, click on your name, and then on the FL flag.
I used the search button all the time and especially like it to find certain posters posts. How do I do that now?
