“Which is a really stupid move on the Republicans part.”
Why would it be the republicans fault when the MAYOR is a crazy dem?

“We” don’t have the guys name, but I’m guessing the cops know it, along with a lot more than that or they’d be asking for help from the public (as in the Seattle Ferry incidents, haven’t heard much on that one recently either). As to the dog’s type, they haven’t said, though the pooch is described as being quite dead.
Rather amusing that the authorities always state that these incidents are non-terrorist related. Almost as if it is scripted. I imagine that is a Federal requirement, drilled into the heads of the PR folks at training conferences and other training events. The statement is too consisitent not to be a federal requirement. You break the rules and fail to make the required “no terrorist” satement, and “No Homeland Security Funds for you”. Interesting to watch, but somewhat embarassing since we’re paying plenty to watch this drama being acted out for us. We’ve all seen the authorities present the same play too often totake the disclaimers too seriously.
Well, if it was terrorist related, and they said as much, that could shut down Las Vegas for some time...
The cost would be enormous, incalculable.
Sometimes when things like this happen I get the feeling the authorities would rather that they didn’t have to tell us anything at all - ANYTHING.
So I guess we should count our blessings that they told us even a little about what’s happening.
That knowledge, every incident in every state is a national issue. Make a list, in detail since 9-11 of every islamic terrorist incident successful or failed. Names of terrorist big or small whether homegrown or from overseas, places, number of deaths each incident, cost of damage.....
Gooood question. Over at LGF, someone on the comments boards was saying that the article says a dog and other small "pets" were found in the room, so it couldn't be a Muslim because they hate dogs.
However, my reading of this section indicates the dog was dead. Now, it could have starved because of being alone for so long (although methinks a dog would start making noise at some point); or, the dog was a "test subject". I'm the cynical sort, so I'm going with "test subject".
According to the news I was getting from FOX this afternoon; the amount would fit on the head of a pin.
I just looked up mole beans and evidently using castor beans to repel moles is an organic method of pest control. They said that castor oil is an ingredient in commercial mole deterrents. Yes, that’s the same castor oil that we used to hear about from our grandparents.
This is a little strange. This story was released the same day this guy went into the hospital:

What a coinkydink.
“Because homeland security is a national issue period.”
Then why do we give all that money to states and have state run Homeland Security Departments? Of course, I am a states rights kinda gal.
I think I understand your frustration as far as politics go concerning this issue as a whole.
I just wanted to point out to you that the locals are in charge of this ‘investigation’ at this time and even bragged about their STATE HOMELAND SECURITY DEPT. and then begged for more federal dollars during the presser today...LOL
It was very strange...just like their mayor(who tried to ban a Tom Clancy game based on a terrorist attack in Las Vegas...go read the Wiki).
I wholeheartedly agree that the feds never like to connect the dots in public and seem too concerned about Islam sensitivity. It’s maddening.
Let’s remember however, that when they do, the left screams bloody murder! They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
What a strange news conference, or strange lady. And of course, they don’t know anything. Yeah right!
I know. But a lot of “news” conferences go that way. Makes me yell at the teevee: But if you don’t know anything, why bother with a news conference? Aren’t they supposed to be for news?? Yeah, I sometimes talk back to my teevee...

The lady certainly acted like she didn’t want to be there. No mention of the dead animals either that I’m reading about on other threads.
I forgot what ricin is, anyway. Is it the poor-man’s Polonium?

“No mention of the dead animals either that Im reading about on other threads.”
It was at the very end of the presser(wasn’t shown in the clip linked) but a few of us watched it live.
It was like ‘oh..and there was a dead dog and a couple others..gotta run..no more questions’
LOL
This is, as you say, probably SOP. I am dismayed so little is being shared with the public. Anyone with one one millionth of a brain cell is aware of the dangers faced, and each is free to ignore those dangers. The Constitution was written for days and times like Americans now face, but look at the clowns running the place, telling Americans that they Serve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution, while the blame is placed on Americans, who elected these clowns, and one understands a little more of what is taking place. Again, I am dismayed the enemy is firmly on the path to murdering Americans, while congress interviews baseball players. Says much about the people in charge, who go by the name democrats, and our beloved rinos.....(shaking head and walking away)
I read somewhere ( here?) that ricin is the third deadliest poison, behind botulism and plutonium.
