Power outage turns South Florida dark

Florida Power & Light is reporting massive power outages throughout South Florida, including Miami, Doral, Westchester, and Pembroke Pines. Reports of outages extended into Palm Beach, an FPL spokeswoman said.
The company said it was investigating the problem.

O.K near St. Augustine, but there is a T storm coming in, possible tornados. I can hear the storm now, sounds like near Palatka. Got the AC running, tomorrow I’ll need heat!

Fox Radio News just speculated that the storms in Georgia might be the cause. WTG, Lisa Brady ... didja sleep through Geography? I believe Florida does get some of its power from lines that go through Georgia.

Possible tornado touchdown in Davie....but it moved off coast so they canceled the warning......but expect some possible severe popcorn thunderstorms so there could be more (reporting what news staff are saying)

...Brevard county is patchy - Palm Bay, parts of Melbourne, Indialantic, Titusville, Merritt Island are down....I'm in Merritt Island and we're up. I've got network nodes in 11 locations all over Brevard and Volusia counties and haven't seen any problems. Yet.
