Face it. It is all but inevitable that McCain win the race for the GOP presidential nominee. Get over it. McCain will be the GOP nominee.
The time for divisive talk about how much you hate McCain for screwing the conservatives and how he is a RINO and his other faults is over. WE are doing NO ONE any good by continuing to publicly air our grievances about him. I know, I have done my share. I don't like him one bit, but he will be a far better president than either of the two 'Rats.
With the atmosphere as anti-McCain as it is, it would not be hard for a liberal posing as another McCain hater to sneak in and keep throwing rocks at that hornet's nest. So let's tone down the rhetoric and the vitriol aimed at him and TRY to find a common ground with him.
McCain, we can hope to influence and guide. Obama and Hitlery will absolutely NOT listen or compromise on any conservative issue.
We know that there is absolutely no way that the 'Rats will make the Bust tax cuts permanent if there is a 'Rat in the WH.
We KNOW that any Supreme Court judge who retires or dies will immediately be replaces with a pro-abortion, anti-gun, anti-freedom liberal; probably from the 9th Circus.
We KNOW that there will be nothing but pure amnesty and absolutely no border enforcement if a 'Rat gets the WH. The 'Rats NEED poor, uneducated, miserable people to advance their socialist agenda.
It is time to stop bickering and hating McCain and stop the postings about how you will sit home and watch Obama or Hitlery become the next president. That is worse than stupidity. It is admitting defeat and quitting.
And I for one will not give up and pout at my home on election day.
So here it is:
McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!
I will be voting but not for.....
being shot, stabbed in the back, or jumping off a cliff
Party over Conservatism...never did appeal to me.
However, in the past--I have actively and passionately worked for Republican candidates--to include monetary contributions, phone calls, volunteer time working the polls, etc.
Even if I vote for McCain,,,because none of the energy, enthusiasm and passion that I normally have for the Republican Party will be there....I will do no more than vote. I won't even encourage family, friends and relatives to vote for him.
THAT---to put it succinctly,,,is why McCain will lose big time.
Yep, and I will add by telling you to stop your whining & get over youself.
For McCain I can probably fall in line but I wont ask others to do it..
We need to *right now* start looking at keeping conservatives in a place to obstruct in the house and senate.. What saved us from Hillary care in 1992 was conservative republicans who, though in the minority, has the courage and numbers to stand in the way..
The fact is that we will vote not only for a President, but for a political party. Hillary will require personal loyalty of appointees to Herself. Do we really want to grant The Beast power to staff our federal government with like minded Marxist psychophants?
Sorry about the triple post. Seems some weird stuff on FR tonight, lots of double and triple posts.
Asking conservatives to make John McCain our leader would be like asking the Continental Army to make Benedict Arnold their commander-in-chief. After he shopped the secrets of West Point to the Brits.
THAT,,,is precisely why the McCain candidacy will be a disaster for conservatives everywhere.
We keep being told ad nauseum,,,,that the conservative base will be replaced by independents and moderates. Fine, I'm sure that that IS true.
However, who do you think those moderates and indpendents are going to vote for in the local, state and congressional elections??? (HINT: IT WON'T BE THE CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES)
The McCain candidacy will be a disaster for the Party and conservatives everywhere.
Pray for W and Our Troops
To Captain Kirk (Aren’t you a little old to be a trekkie?), T-Ball (Are you old enough to vote?), Cicero, and others of your ilk:
Why not stop the whining and do something positive, like leave the country? Bitch! Bitch! Bitch! I’d bet that none of you ever served in the military, voted in a primary, or God forbid, worked on a campaign for a candidate. While John McCain isn’t a perfect candidate, I don’t remember any candidates who were, and he is the best chance we have against total liberalism spelled socialism, (watered down from communism). As an earlier reply had prompted: STFU!
Probably true.
The only thing worse is an Obamabeast Presidency, which will certainly be disastrous for our country.
I shutter for our nation when I think of ... any of these three and their policies.
Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. Be my guest.
Get over it, I'm not voting for him. he is not MY nominee. GOP was to stupid to learn anything in 2006. They can just get over my votes except for individuals that I choose to support.
Very well put. Thank you. All’s that is left is the determination of the method of destruction for conservatives. Clarified my thoughts ;-)
I’m with you. McCain isn’t the perfect choice by any means but he’s heads-up better than Hillary or Obama, not to mention the opportunity to appoint Supreme Court justices. Time to quit pouting, grit your teeth and pull the lever for someone with an “R” behind his name.
Very well put. Thank you. All’s that is left is the determination of the method of destruction for conservatives. Clarified my thoughts ;-)
I can't disagree.
However, the disaster for the Party and conservatives results because with McCain at the top of the ticket--conservatives will lose many, many close races everywhere--giving Obama a 'filibuster-proof' congress (60 votes). THAT is the real disaster.
