Your tagline says it all. I don’t vote for Republicans anymore.

I only vote for conservatives. Anybody can call themselves a “Republican”. See Ahnold or King Bloomberg. They’ve bastardized the brand.

Somebody has to burn this big tent to the ground.

It doesn’t shock me, he is a political hack. It is too easy for a person to say all the right things, you actually have to look at a person, look at how they come across and how they have been living their lives. You can’t just take a person at their words. It’s not enough. He never was impressive, he came across as an egomanic blow hard. Mitt took a lot of abuse from many who didn’t bother to look at the whole picture of what Fred was really about. No one should have ever been that carried away by someone who was in the Senate during the Clinton years. All of the Senate failed the country during that crucial time. To me, that was much more telling then a person who had a change of opinion on abortion.

That may be a tough thing to go along with, but McNut is even worse. On the 1A (by a wide margin), the 2A (by a infinite margin) and 10A.

SO nuttin looks too good now.

The WOT and SCOTUS are just two of many important reasons why we should make sure that the Dimmocrats don’t win the Presidency.

What Fred did makes sense, and from what I know about him, he did it because he believes that it was the right thing to do for the country he loves so dearly.

AMEN and AMEN!

Fred Thompson doesn’t want to be anything.

That's the best description yet.

Yes, I did. thank you for that. Fun and interesting/informative.

I’m confused about some posts and either I’m way off and taking them the wrong way or I’m right on target. I wish people would just say what they mean and get on with it. I’m having a hard enough time figuring out posts as it is. Call me a newbie or whatever ;) The whole computer thing still confuses me.

I hope they then get up, dust off, and work to: - fix this ridiculous primary system - support conservatives in other state and federal elections - rally the party to stop the socialists this November

Very well said.

Look, I felt physically ill when I realized McCain was going to be our nominee. I did the 'I ain't votin!" thing and so on.

Then I sat down and thought "President Obama" and "President Hillary."

That's all it took. And the wailing of those who talk about "strategic loses" (like 1992...and 2006...) is easily ignored when SCOTUS, the war, and abortion are still pressing issues.

"we are really in deep doo doo when a large majority of the politicians just write off the will of the people and don't even bother to pretend honesty. Talk about corruption... this country is being run by a bunch of sewer rats..and I for one, am sick and tired of their games. This election is just sport for them... they already know the outcome."

Excellent post. I have the same feeling you do- that we've been "played" in this election.

McPain is now in the role of Goldwater after CA in 1964, and ...

Yes he is. His entire campaign and strategy has been to non Repubs which has worked beautifully for him. But these voters won't be there for him in Nov and he is so arrogant I'm not sure he knows that yet.

It is also understandable that people are upset since there is a previous Repub platform and when that is thrown away, it takes a while to digest.
