My HUNTER sign is still on my car...

Even after he endorsed Mike "open borders for Jesus" Huckabee? Get the scraper out. I'll confess that I just don't get these Washington insiders.

I feel bad for the ones who did not get to vote yet. They been given the shaft bigtime. One way or another, a Dem will be in the WH.

I’m an idiot. Crap. I know you didn’t excuse anything and I was just chatting. I got that (that you are able to get past the rudeness) and hoped you got that I could too and just I dont’ like it :)

I can be a jerk too. Most of the time it’s unintentional but there are times I just bitch back, for the fun of it.

Oh I think it’s worth it here too. And thank you for your kind words. I just don’t like the nastiness I’ve seen but again I’m not crazy about the nastiness in real life. But again, in real life, it’s not as nasty as online. Maybe it’s the anonymous thing that people think gives them a free pass to be nasty?

I’m sorry if I came off wrong or how I did’t want to come off. Can we just say I suck at this and call it even? ;) I promise, I’m way better in person.

Hunter endorsed Huckabee about two weeks ago. Now that was a surprise.

One Mitt made such a classy and positive withdrawal speech, only Huck fanatics or Republicans who are leaving the party have a reason to deny the race for the nomination is over.

Not suprising that the elites demanded that McCain should be the one. Remember there is an atitude that he is “owed” the presidency.

“...The last great Republican President we will ever see ...”

Maybe not...

Today, Rush announced that "the next Reagan" has already appeared on the political scene: Louisiana's new Conservative Governor -- Bobby Jindal.

I live 4 miles (inside Texas, of course...) from the LA border, and I have watched (with careful scrutiny) Jindal's triumph over the liberal LA bribe-taking machine -- and, from what I've seen, Rush is right on the money! Jindal may just be our next true, solidly-right, electable Conservative leader.

Jindal is certainly worth watching...

Yeah, it’s been a weird election cycle. I don’t think anybody really saw Hunter going to the Huckabee camp.

And for all of you that are about to tell me to vote to keep out Obama or Hillary, shut it. You are the exact people that have run this party into the ground.

I supported Fred, and was even able to vote for him in the MA primary last Tuesday. I don't believe that Fred will be staying home on Election Day and allowing the Democrats to take control of this country, and I don't plan to do that either. I'll hold my nose and vote for McCain, along with as many Conservatives as I can find on the ticket here in MA, though, that will be precious few.

I keep thinking about the men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how they'd feel knowing that conservatives, who supposedly support them, stayed home in anger and allowed folks who loathe the military to be the ones making the decisions that will directly impact them. Kinda puts any disappointment I might feel in perspective.

Grow up.

What are you talking about? I was responding to a poster who's flinging insults at everyone all over this thread for taking a different path than he's taking. I was pointing out that both approaches (voting for McCain, not voting for McCain) can be done with the interests of the country in mind. Sorry, I don't see any need to "grow up" based on that.

As for the GOP, the reason a party exists is to support, promote and groom candidates that fit a certain ideological profile. Some combination of the GOP establishment and some GOP voters have failed at this. I didn't say they "hurt" me -- my take is more that this coalition may no longer be relevant. If the coalition has any chance, it must be accountable to its constituencies. Continuing to give a blank check to bad candidates just encourages GOP leaders and/or voters to give us more of the same.
