Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?
I never claim to be part of the GOP. I am a conservative and simply tend to vote primarily GOP to get the most conservative candidate. The Illinois GOP rotted years ago and now the national GOP is following suit. A good thrashing in November by the Democrats and the resultant socialism will hopefully be a good lesson for them.
I’m leaving, too. Not one more dime from me until the GOP pulls their heads out of their butts.
Will be re-registering this afternoon as an Independent, free thereafter to vote my conscience for the most genuinely c-o-n-s-e-r-v-a-t-i-v-e candidate available on any given ballot... regardless of whether they have a capital letter "R" next to their name or not.
McCain/Jeffords 08.
I won’t leave. I don’t know what I will do come November, but I’m going to stay a Republican.
I left last summer during the immigration battle. I haven’t found my new home yet. Maybe Libertarian.
I agree completely.
My Dad has been telling me this for years but only in the last couple have I started truly believing him as I could see with my own eyes what he's been saying. Buh bye GOP!
My primary is coming up and I am voting for Paul.
LOL :) Woo Hoo! That would do it. I think people would be picking up guns at that point.
Leave? No.

Good for you. Jumping ship when times get rough is why Perot put Slick Willy in office. It makes no sense at all to leave now.
What do you plan to do when he drops out and endorses McCain? They will cut off his $ now since his purpose for being in the race has been accomplished, so he isn’t going to stop anybody from getting the nomination if he wanted to do so.
At this time, I will remain. There’s no way a third party will have the power to do anything but snap at the heels of the other two major parties. I can’t stand McCain, and don’t want to vote for him, but not voting, or voting third party or write-in, just gives the victory, and POWER to either Ohbummer or Billary. I am extremely disappointed! I think the primaries should all be held on the same day. Giving the choice of candidates to a limited number of states just ain’t right!

I didn’t leave the GOP; the GOP left me.
