How Many Freepers Will Leave The GOP?
Man50D

Posted on 02/07/2008 10:39:44 AM PST by Man50D

Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?

It may be exhiliarating for you when you switch to indy. It feels like a big weight lifted. You’ll feel great walking bk to your car. They won’t be able to use us and abuse us again.

I’m an indy but strangely, am still on their lists. If I get called, they’re going to suffer a tension headache and I’ll feel no pain delivering it. McCain’s a very mean person and his act today was phoney baloney. And, he admits he doesn’t know about economics. Stockmarkets are going south very soon.

So, donate to individual campaigns but stiff the RNC. They deserve no reward for merit.

GOP leavers are not lost souls.

The only reason I registered Republican was to be able to vote in primaries. I voted for our current WY Democrat Governor to send a message to our State party (and obviously wasn’t alone in my thinking, he’s in his 2nd term).

Knee jerk emotion needs to be kept in check (for me) at this time. Life changes in the blink of an eye and I foresee a helluva lot of potential blinks between now & November.

The "leavers" who left the GOP before the 2006 election made us GOP conservatives less in numbers in 2008, so we now get McCain.

You think GOP leavers are "trailblazers" I think they are lost souls.

I left after Alberto Gonzales cancelled Terri Schiavo’s rescue in 2005. I was glad the day he resigned.

From Chicago Tribune blog:

As a Vietnam War Era Airborne Ranger Infantryman and Speciual Forces veteran, I beg anyone with a couple of free hours to Google Senate Select Committee on POW/MIAs. You'll find out that Senator Kerry was the Chairman and Senator Mccain the Co-chairman. They spent several years collecting 22,000 pages of sightings, testamony, satelite imagtry and concluded their were no POWs left and SHREEDED the 22,000 pages of evidence. We left about 500 soldiers in North Vietnam and a couple hundred in LAOS. Please spend some time verifying this and if you find it to be true spread the word. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!

McCain also said he thought John Kerry would make a good president. Maybe that other post is why he’s beholding to the other side of the aisle.

"The problem is not the party. The problem is the voters who vote for such lame candidates. Good candidates were out there this election cycle and they lost. "

So whose fault is it that neither I nor millions of other citizens haven't had a chance to even cast a single vote yet? Seems like this IS a party scheduling problem. Can't blame this on voters who weren't allowed to vote yet.

“McCain also said he thought John Kerry would make a good president.”

McCain also said that Hillary would make a good president.

I think that John McCain should drop out of the race. It’s HIS turn now.

Nothing? There should be a place holder graphic and a blurb from Reagan and the promise of more to come within 30 days.

but I don’t think the third party option is the right way to go.

The GOP has moved so far left over the years to expand its voter base in order to appease those who are not Conservative that the ideology of the two parties is incrementally becoming one. They are essentially one party. Another party would be a second party.

I think John McCain is the Britney Spears of the Republican Party. He’s delusional but doin’ his thang anyway, surrounded by yes men.

Hildibeast must be the Hitler as per her Nazi salute on the cover of Drudge.

What does that make obama?
