Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
“The corpse finally realizes its dead.”
So I hope McCain drops out.
Influence at the convention over both the platform and assurances over policy and personnel positions from Mccain. That’d be my guess, anyway.
Holy crap on a stick what do the mitt bots not get about the fact the Romney trashing Regan in the 90’s, governing, *at best*, from the center, and being a johnny come lately to the side of life, the second amendment, and stopping the gay agenda have nothing to do with his being Mormon!
And thusly people not supporting Romney has *nothing to do with his being Mormon*
I suppose we’ll now get treated to the spectacle of dozens of Freepers dragging themselves over to Huck now, and telling us how they always considered him the true conservative.
“Feel good about that?”
Hmmm, read my tagline.
It may. But if the choice is basically between a liberal and another liberal, that's the main difference between 1992 and now.
I believe Skol, comrade would be more fitting. ;-)
When she is inaugurated, all the purists who refuse to vote for McCain can take great satisfaction. When the Bush tax cuts expire, National health care breezes thru the Democratic Congress, the cap on payroll taxes is lifted, the pharmaceutical and oil companies are punished, an even more watered down immigration bill is passed, they can all take partial credit.
And, those changes will be IRREVERSIBLE. Bush is the only one keeping the wolf from the hen house at this point. Bush is no more conservative than McCain, and certainly less so on federal spending.
“Yes, the snide remarks about Mitts econoomic successes are very disappointing on FR.”
Envy is a very powerful thing. There are a few on FR and they are on this thread now, that have continuosly gone after his money. It says alot more about them than Romney. They’re obviously not true conservatives or they wouldn’t be playing this class warfare game that Hillary and the dems like to play. Like it’s more redeeming to be voting for a guy that’s lived off the backs of the taxpayers for the better part of his life.
Romney could help, but it would take at least 8 years and it would be a major commitment for him.
We shall see.....
You know I don’t think any such thing. Defeating McCain was the only thing that mattered. George Soros is now not only inside our party, he’s sitting at the top of it.
For all of Flip’s faults (and there were many), he was never in league with George Soros. McCain is, in a very big way. And you chose to spend the overwhelming bulk of your time going after Flip instead of the greatest enemy our party has ever known.
You made a grave miscalculation.
So you mean Slick Willard was for it before announcing he was against it, before he was for it again? Surprise, surprise.
He keeps them, as well as any more that are apportioned to him in the remaining primaries/caucuses. He simply isn’t going to campaign for them any further.
The Revolution!
:>o
he may be a rino, but was a good gov of mass.
Thank you, Huckabee!!! /sarc
oh ... lighten up Francis!
Mike Huckabee made sure to fan the flames of bigotry with regard to Mormons. He dares to call himself a Pastor!
In a perfect world, we'd have one hell of an organized GOP write in for POTUS, and elect someone other than McCain or Huckabee!
Maybe???

I don’t know what, if anything, you have accomplished in your life.
Romney is a highly successful businessman who also had great success with the Olympics, has had a stellar private life, wonderful success in raising an outstanding family with great values and faith, and who has even been relatively successful in the political realm.
He convinced over 30% of the Republican party to support him for the highest office in the land.
The idea that NOT winning the Presidency makes a person a failure is absurd.
And your reasoning skills, as demonstrated by your labelling a person more successful than you perhaps could even DREAM of being as an “epic failure”, are maybe what is an “epic failure”.
BTW, How’s your candidate doing?
