Really the only mistake that Evangelicals made was throwing their support behind Huckabee rather than Hunter.

Current Tally:

McSlime 332
Stormin Mormon 135

Romney needs Colorado and Cali.

Looking at the results Huckabee seems to be beating Romney by around 10% in almost all of the states except for the NEst. So, your argument that Romney is relevant and Huckabee irrelevant seems to be flying in the face of the facts.

McCain and Huckabee are bigger winners than Romney.

Romney has no way to win the nomination after this flop of a performance. I don't see how he can justify spending millions more of his money.

Whatever you consider lies, someone else would call the truth. I guess it depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.
I know I can find proof that what you say is his record is not true but I think you have your mind made up, so why bother.

Huckabee can’t win outside the south.

But too many conservatives won’t vote for McCain. After tonight McCain is done. Tonight’s message was the conservatives saying “anyone but McCain”.

I think a Romney/Huckabee ticket is materializing tonight.

IMHO, hell will freeze over first.

If you have been an active freeper in the past eight months, you would have seen this argument prevail:

_______ is the only person who can beat Hillary.

Now I ask you , is that a valid reason to support someone, someone who you know is not a conservative?

I think its settling. Now if you chose a candidate who matched your principles and convictions, great! But to choose someone because they are allegedly the only one who can beat Hillary? Hogwash.

I wholeheartedly supported Fred Thompson. And I may write him in this November.

A viable 3rd party can happen — the GOP’s existence proves that.

It just hasn't happened in living memory. And maybe ultimately we have a system that will result in a two party dynamic, but that doesn't mean it will always be THESE two parties. Past performance is not a predictor of future results. Truth is stranger than fiction because things happen in real life that would be completely implausible if somebody made them up.

They keep squeezing us conservatives, backing us into a corner. I have no idea what's going to happen, but the status quo is unacceptable.

Hickabee crowing in Ark now. Maybe this will be his Dean Scream moment.

yep. Between his liberal past and his religion he's toast.
